The in-form Blackpool is facing poor traveller Barnsley in a match where the two teams are only 3 points apart. Although 3 points apart, they are currently facing differing fortunes.

With brilliant Stephen Mcphee, Blackpool won against Charlton and Norwich in the last two matches, pushing for a promotional play-off place. They have played very well for the two matches and are expected to carry on their performance for this match, especially with Stephen Mcphee and Paul Dickov expected to be fit for the match.

Barnsley is a poor traveller with only 1 away match won, scoring a total of 10 away goals and conceding a total of 30 away goals. While they did not lose their last two matches which were at their home ground, they have not scored in their last 4 league matches and had lost their last 4 away matches.

Looking at statistics with Blackpool winning 7 drawing 7 losing 3, scoring a total of 28 home goals and conceding a total of 19 home goals and Barnsley winning 1 drawing 5 losing 11, Blackpool looks the likely winner.

Looking at form, Blackpool looks the likely winner as well.

In terms of complacency, I do not think Blackpool will be complacent as they will try to carry on their good in-form and goal scoring to push for a play-off place.

In conclusion, Barnsley will not be able to contain the frontmen of Blackpool and goalkeeper Luke Steele should be under constant pressure to make various saves. It will take a really solid performance by Barnsley to get anything out of this match.
