A new DVD will be out shortly, after the success of The Perfect Ten, Classic Matches and Season Review DVD's all produced by PDI to an excellent standard.

The DVD has 250 (not surprisingly....) of the "greatest goals in Blackpool's history. Unfortunately, some goals aren't inlcluded such as the famous night in 1970 when the Seasiders beat PKE at Deepdale 3-0, with a Fre Pickering hat-trick, in front of a crowd of over 35,000 with an estimated minimum of 19,000 from the seaside. But back then very few matches outside the top flight were filmed, even though the a few weeks later Blackpool were promoted back to the top flight (for up to now the last time  )

Some of the 250 goals are Stan Mortenson's famous 1953 FA Cup final hat-trick and his goal against Manchester United in the 1948 FA Cup Final as well as goals from Tony Green (probably one of the most naturally gifted players ever to play for the club, and who score an absolutely superb goal at Bloomfield Road which I'm sure will be on the DVD. His career was cut short after he moved to play for Newcastle United after a cartilage injury, an who even though he only playe 33 leage games for the Geordies is still highly regarded by their ahem older fans. He still lives on the Fylde coast), Alan Suddick (who in the early 1970s was known for his "banana kicks" way before the "Bend it like Beckham" days - and still lives in Blackpool) , Dave Bamber (who started his career at Blackpool in 1979 and who after playing for eight other clubs, ended his career at Blackpool in 1994) and who still also lives in Blackpool), Tony Ellis (who did the unthinkable, the unforgiveable - if you are a Nobber- but the hilarious if you are a Seasier, and joine Blackpool from PKE in 1994) John Murphy (who played over 250 games for the Seasiders from 1999 to 2006 and who is still considere a legend at the seaside) and Brett Ormerod (who playe over 100 games for the 'Pool from 1997 to 2001 before moving to Southampton who were then in the Premier League, and who has since moved to PKE, but who is currently on loan at League One Olham Athletic), together with "that" February 1975 league goal from Mickey Walsh against Sunerland at Bloomfield Road which won the BBC's "Goal of the Season" award and is still up there in the list of best ever goals on Match of the Day and which nearly gave commentator Barry Davies a heart attack he was that excited with his classic goal commentary.

After Blackpool had taken a two goal lead in the 1st half, Sunderland scored twice to equalise in the 2nd half, then they missed a penalty which would have given them the lead, (famous itself for the white coated steward gesturing toward the Sunderland player to miss...), before Mickey Walsh went on a mazy run that ended with a superb curling left footed winning goal, that had Davies commentating "Thats a good try.... oh what a goal (and as if he all of a sudden realises how good the goal was, starts shouting --) OHHH WHAT A GOAL TO DECIDE IT SURELY! OHHH MICK WALSH. WHAT A SUPERB GOAL."
