I do believe that this game will be broadcast on Fox Soccer Plus at 12:30, so it's tape-delayed.

Blackburn are poop, that being said, we'll probably draw.

    Discuss amongst yourselves.

Nah we will win this one. Can't imagine us getting less than 2 and them getting more than 1... and it should be 0.

Bale hasn't stepped up in the league yet - Blackburn tomorrow have no rightback, so are going to have to play a young midfielder there. Bale will can tear him a new one.

Big decision as usual will be what to do about right wing and who plays upfront with Adebayor.

    ------------Friedel

    Walker-Bassong-Kaboul-Ekotto

    --------Sandro-Parker

    ------------Modric

    ------Vdv--Adebayaor--Bale

Exactly. This game may tell us if Spurs are a team to be reckoned with for the top 4 or just another typical Spurs mid-table also-ran. When in typical form, we lose this game that we should win. If we are a team due for top 4 status, we have to do what top 4 teams do, beat the teams at the bottom of the table.

In a sense, therefore, this is a vital game for the team, a window into their character.

I want Salgado to play, although only to see Bale buttf*ck him at every opportunity.

    (Not actually buttf*ck).

it's because he only has 1 move and almost everyone figured him out.

Yet Lennon's one move still works for him, when he's confident (and healthy), at least.

Well you should always take what the defender gives you... as soon as he sees him back pedaling and is facing him inside then run like a bat out of hell down that line... but almost everyone is going to turn him inside. He just needs to get better at going in and making something happen. Once he does that then there won't really be any way to defend him... you will just hope he makes a mistake like Ronaldo does sometimes. Messi just hardly ever makes a mistake I have never seen anyone be able to react to player movement so quickly and effectively. Still no matter what tho the defense always has to account and focus on Bale. It's kind of like in football where if all you can do is run streak routes.... but you are very effective at them, the defense always has to account for that. See Randy Moss on the Patriots 07-10. I don't see why Bale couln't just turn and burn to the inside tho... then once he's past him he can move to the outside again if he wants. When you have that kind of speed you have a lot of options.

Lennon is back in the lineup, so at last we play with some balance:

    Friedel
    Walker, Kaboul, Bassong, Assou-Ekotto
    Lennon, Parker, Modric, Bale
    Van der Vaart Adebayor

Subs: Cudicini, Pavlyuchenko, Defoe, Rose, Livermore, Sandro, Townsend.

Samba causing us a lot of problems in the air as usual, dominating Kaboul so far.
