Game time, kiddos. This is another three points that we must have. You know what that means . . .

    I'm afraid, all right.

Got the VCR set up, this is one of those games that did us in last season. We were supposed to win, went ahead by a goal or two and then it was all hands to the shovels as we dug trenches around the penalty area.
It usually ended in a draw...!

This is where we hope to see the difference between the GH team and the new age Rafa squad. We do need an early goal, something we haven't done lately, then we can control and go for more.

Rovers are down in the pile right now but they're always a team that can cause trouble.

The Stanwood Prowlers have a tough match up today, we're 7 for 7 and playing good football. The coach of the team we're playing tried to call off the first match because 3 of his stars wanted to be somewhere else! and we won 3-1.
His idea was to play a double header today...HA! It's blowing a gale with horizontal rain. One match will be tough.
I know you'll be waiting for the result when I get back...!

Just as I'll be reading your comments here here right after I watch Liverpool on tape.

Again, I recall some warning from my childhood about counting chickens . . . if we lose, we fall to 7th, and the game in hand could only get us back up to 5th.

Maybe I still have the pavlovian reaction to this kind of game from the GH era, but it feels like a 0-0 or 1-1 kind of afternoon. Maybe I just need to unlearn being such a sourpuss.

You definitely need to because your killing my hopes of a good afternoon. I'm definitely not feeling a 0-0 or 1-1 draw kinda day.

3' - Cisse with a good shot on target going in the right top corner, but Friedel with the save.

5' - Blackburn with a cross across the 6 yard box but Dick-off can't finish it.
Then we counter-attack with Baros and he makes a bad touch and goes out for a goal-kick.

Great cross-field ball by Alonso (although there were shouts of offisde) and he has all day to pick the far corner on Friedel.
Replays show Riise was definitely onside.

    Yes he certainly was.
13' - Not much going on right now, we're playing quite comfortably, but still attacking into their half quite a bit.

    16' - 1-1 with a goal for Blackburn.
Like I was thinking earlier, we are playing too comfortably.

We better pick up our play quick or we are gonna find ourselves 2-1 down.

I vote for bringing Garcia on in the second half, we need a spark to liven us up a bit. Looks like this season's away form is coming back at us today.

They've got us on our heels in the back, we look dreadful. I haven't seen this kind of play since last year.

I swear to God I think Cisse just broke his leg, i've done it and looking at that replay, that is gross. I'm not for sure, but that sure looks like it, that's disgusting.
