"Piss poor" might be an exaggeration, but nonetheless the defending is lacking considerably, especially when the ball is lost in the offensive movement Bayern players switch too slow to defensive mode, which means that passing ways are not closed down, opposong player don't get attacked quick enough and this often leads to the point that either the defenders (CB or FB) or the goalie are in trouble in a way that puts them 1 on 1 or at least into a critical duell.

Toni scores but is offsides, total domination so far for Bayern.. Barca not trying and making defensive mistakes.

And you tend to come across as whiners when things are "less."

It happens to everyone. Bayern isn't immune.

I agree with Footyfan1. I felt sick that Demi and Lucio got all the blame but Rensing remained unscathed for the majority of the season. Call me biased, but Rensing makes them look bad.

It's not just Demi and Lucio. It's Lell and even Oddo at times. It's Ze, Bommel and the whole team that doesn't defend as a unit. This is hardly a 1 player mistakes, it's a clusterf#ck of mistakes all over the place and since one player has to fill Kahn's shoes, he will get most of the blame.

This a huge bias especially because Demichelis has been in weak for most of the season. Maybe some of you should start noticing that the whole back four is positioned less depp under Klinsmann than under Hitzfeld, which is together with the incapabilites in midfield the main reason for the goals Bayern got this season.
