This is a very important game, last season Bayern had at home a very decent record, but on the road, it was very difficult, childish mistakes on defense, and a lack of scoring, this is where a change most be seen, with attitude and quality in play.

True, Bremen has a lot of injury problems, but is a moment to really set the tone for this tournament.

A win would be awesome, but I also wanna see some Altintop or Sosa play. With them playing, we're gonna watch some sweet football :D

    I can't wait!

Imagine if we win this... we'd be 5 points ahead of Werder after only 2 games... I think we have a relatively good chance of winning this match. Werder isn't in good form and have a lot of injuries, whereas we have Toni back and our attack is in good shape. If we stay concentrated in defense, it should work out fine I think.

Despite their injuries it'll be a tough game. They're not going to lay down to Bayern and just take defeat. They're going to give 110% against us. It'll be much more difficult than the Liga Pokal game, I can assure you guys of that.

Plus, Diego is the most dangerous type of player to expose the weakness in our defense.

    ---------------------Kahn----------------------

    Lahm---------Lucio-------Micho--------Jansen

    -------------MvB---------Ze Roberto----------

    Altintop---------------------------------Ribery

    ----------------Toni------------Klose-----------

I'd bring Schweiny and/or Sosa on later.

If no one is injured, I'm sure Bayern will have the same squad as the last game, Schweini for now is the first team choice, Sosa and Altintop will be on the bench. We'll see how this develops during the next weeks.

Werder has a tough on Wednesday against Zagred and considering their sick bay there never was a better time to beat them

We should be favored against an injury-riddled Bremen squad but it will still be quite difficult. Bremen has their pride on the line after Klose indirectly told them that they weren't good enough for him. Should be very hard fought with an ejection or two but I predict a 2-1 win for the Reds. A road win at Bremen should produce sky-high confidence for this early part of the season.

Its difficult to maintain a cleansheet but, I believe that Bayern will win the game for sure.
Also, they'll miss Torsten and Borowski. There should be plenty of goals. :)

    Bayern is clear favorite.

We have nothing to loose with our injury plagued team.

To be honest the match on Wednesday and the returning leg
are IMO much more important for the club.

Sure, Bayern is Bayern, but CL is CL. ;)

Well, it´s not like the team won´t be motivated.
There happened too much in the past,
but in our difficult situation the
CL match is the most important.

don't worry it is perfectly ok, i don't like Bełchatów or Grocłin but because they are still alive in the Uefa Cup i am rooting for them just to represent Poland well since Lubin already crashed out of the Champions League qualifying round :(

Exactly the same with me. I might not like some of the teams to do well in the Bundesliga, but internationally I hope they represet Germany well.

I hope Hitzfeld doesn't pull the reign back too much, just let the guys play, forget tactics. I expect to see a wide open attacking match with plenty of chances on both ends.

It's always tough to win at the Weserstadion, this game will not be any different. I see a 2-2 or 3-2 to Bayern and who knows the score could be even higher.

Great test early in the season. Looking forward to this one. GolTV? Setanta?

You will be seeing less of me (insert crowd noise) as my bloody work put the Barracuda block on all sports sites... seems some of our faculty were actually looking at them during the school day (GASP!).

Any techno geeks out there are more than welcome to suggest a way around this. wink, wink.
