---------------------Kahn-------------------- Sagnol---------Lucio-------Micho--------Lahm ------------MvB------------Ze Roberto------- Sosa-------------------------------Schweiny ----------Toni----------Klose---------------- I think Ottmar will give Sosa and Bastian the starts but I'd like to see Kroos and Schlaudraff start for once.
It is time for Schweni to give it his best. He was a fine LM after all. And I am hoping too, that Sosa will contribute more than he usually does. These last 3 matches will tell the fans what is Munich capable of. Is the team all only about Ribery?I am hoping not!
i'd like to see schlaudraff play for once he so rarely gets in i think altintop will start over sosa though
i would like to see: kahn demichelis van buyten lahm sangol ze roberto van bommel altintop schweiny or kroos toni klose
Most of all I am curious to see how we will click without our most important player. Bremen are a dynamic team but they've been exposed at the back moreso this season than last and Ribery would have been the perfect foil for that. We will need a big game from our wide players if we are going to win, not only because Ribery isn't playing but because he is usually the player that links up with Klose and Toni.
I think this will be the line-up for this week. I just don't see Ottmar deviating from his normal plan. However, personally, I would like to see Ze Roberto in a more creative role as he played with Santos (I mentioned this in the "Team News" thread). If so, we are limited in our options in the center, but likely Ottl woud get the nod. The midfield would more like: Sosa.....MVB.....Ottl.....Ze Roberto. Not the preferred lineup of potential 'stars' in midfield, but without Ribery, I really don't see Ottmar going on limb and attacking like we would with Franck, but rather almost playing content for a point. I hate to say that aloud, but I just see this happening. I thing Sosa deserves the start, not Ailtontop or Kroos. Sosa proved he can at least play on the right and hold his own for 45 minutes. Perhaps he goes even longer if we keep him on one side of the pitch as opposed to switching him like last match. He is deadly on deadball service as well. Ailtontop doesn't offer us those options... he has never faired well this season starting, and seems to excel at the role of coming on the last 30 minutes... so let him own that role. Kroos simply is not ready for the big game atmosphere like this... if he was, Ottmar would have been grooming him to do so. I am not sure how people on these boards don't quite see or get that - there is no rush for Toni Kroos here, he is with us for many years to come - and to compare his situation to that of other players in his age bracket getting more playing time at smaller clubs is just ignorance at its best. Schweini needs to step up, if he is fit and ready. I actually wouldn't mind seeing he and Ze switch roles for the match, but again, I seriously doubt Ottmar will deviate... he has proven that many times in the past. Let go Bayern!!! Should be a cracking match!
I am pretty sure you are the only one here that thinks this about Sosa. He is every bit as bad at deadball deliveries as Schweini. Here is what I want to see: ----------Kahn------------ Sagnol---Lucio---Demi---Lahm ------MVB---Schweini------- Schlaudraff----------ze Roberto -------Klose----Toni---------- Second half subs: Altintop for Sosa Kroos for Schweini (if we are winning comfortably) If Jansen is fit, bring him on for Sagnol and switch sides with Lahm.
Thinks about his dead ball ability? Or as a player in general? Here is what I think. I think Sosa has been injured nearly all of the first half of the season. I think that given the few opportunities to play, he has shown at the least, some improvement over each match. I think that this is better than what we have seen yet at the right mid position from anyone. I think that no one really delivers a killer service for us since Scholl's departure... Kroos is talented, yes... but Sosa was the primary freekick taker at his former club and thus has some proven worth there. I think Sosa has maybe had a total equaling any number of fingers on just one hand to prove all this. I think all others in contention for the right mid spot have had either the same amount of games to prove themselves or more. In a nutshell, as I said, the guy simply has earned another start. I don't think his service to Toni that nearly scored last match will take him off dead ball duties either.
Now the negatives....bad passes in the middle and slow reaction time. Simply put, and AS was said before, more time on the pitch is what is needed for him. Like a lot of players who come from other leagues/countries, it takes time to get adjusted to the game. Funny, people mention negatives and all of a sudden..they are "bashing" players. Get a grip people.
Eissman, I'm not here again to tell you who Bayern should play, but I may well have seen more of Bayern's test matches than you and it's clear to me, to former players and some journalists that Kroos is your second most dangerous offensive midfielder already. He's not the finished product, and yes, he had very serious defensive lapses again in one of the test matches, but this much we do know.
I do not disagree with that statement one bit... nor was I posting on Kroos... but Kroos is the future. We need the now, and now he is just not season enough. Some will say that Hitzfeld is at fault for this because he could be getting some seasoning, but I think they are simply protecting their investment and wisely... he will hopefully be the next "Scholl".
Correct, as you stated, common occurances with inexperience whether due to lack of playing time, time to acclimate to new surroundings, etc, etc. BTW, if it was said before it was not in this thread... was it? LOL! Constructive criticism is like a catalyst for therapy around these parts lately. It has been a revolving door at RM this season... Ailtontop, Sosa, Kroos, etc... so now is Sosa's turn as he is fully fit for the first time this season and potentially needs to be look at. Hell, last year people were pissing about Dos Santos sitting the bench and not having a shot, then he gets his chance and disappoints, Bayern then loan him out. Perhaps the same situation at the least needs to be extended to Sosa??? Makes perfect sense to me. Players like Ailtontop have been in the league already. He should have nailed down this position, but his consistancy has not been there. Kroos at least has had the chance to be acclimated to the surroundings and knows the system/club/public pressure, he is simply young. Sosa has had neither, nor has he been healthy, yet we expect 'magic'.... but then go ahead a forgive Bastian Schweinsteiger 4th pull-back in a row when going forward? yeah, you are right... insane logic rules on these boards at times. I sometimes think the average age is like 18 on these boards... ... thankfully, you and I are here to round it up to 20! LOL!
That's why I am rarely a "fan" of individual players. A season is long and players go in and out of form and then back to form quicker than a Freddie Adu thread on YA. I think the key is how well they work with Sagnol on this. He is also returning from a long break. At the start of the season (and pres-season) I think most people thought he would be a great sub anyway. His early form was a nice surprise. Kroos is exactly where OH said he would be at the start of the season..."slowly being brought in". So I have no concerns there. I am not convinced of his defensive abilities yet, and would hesitate to put him in a game against Bremen. I stopped defending Piggy 2 years ago. I think of Clint Mathis when I talk of Piggy. You know what I mean on this. I think it is lower, but what are you going to do? Cheers!
Thats true but thats because MvB and Ze Roberto are asked to play deeper midfield roles that prevent them from going up and being offensive threats themselves. Furthermore, Kroos has the potential and he can have a great game every now and then in the Bundesliga too but he has started games before and he didn't look comfortable at all. At this point, both Sosa and Kroos need more time to adjust and develop. There is no certain guaranteed effective player for that role yet.
I know it's very unlikely, but what you guys think of playing Ottl in holding midfield, between Van Bommel and Ze Roberto, and Sosa or Kroos behind Toni and Klose?
I've been throwing that idea around for a while but I don't see Ottmar going for it. He has his mind made up with this "doppelsechs" system it seems. Ze Roberto and MvB are big characters at the club now and I don't think Hitzfeld will resort to benching either one.
