VfB Stuttgart 2:1 Borussia Dortmund What a win for the Canstatters! It helped that Dortmund's defense/goalkeeping is a hot mess right now, but VfB is safely in the middle of the table at this moment. A head's-up play by Akolo (preceded by a bone-head play on defense by Bartra) made it 1:0 in the 5th minute. Zieler saved a PK in stoppage time of the first half, but the rebound was put in by Philipp to make it 1:1. Brekalo scored the game winner in the 51st minute after a terrific pass from Berkay Özcan, on the fast break. Great job!
Was able to watch the whole game this time. Solid match from VfB, as they had several other good chances outside the goals. Zieler played a good game, unfortunate for him that the rest of the team was caught napping on the PK save rebound. It is nice to see the defense playing pretty well too (Compared to the 15/16 season).
