Thought we'd better start this thread. First, there is an article at the Official BVB Website that seeks to clear up four "misconceptions" about the "Petric/Zidan" deals.

I say "deals" because one of the things Zorc claims in the article is that "Petric/Zidan" was not one big deal, but two separate ones.

I've already translated the article for the site, but neither of our other people has had time to post it.

Second, the BVB site says Klopp is worried about Tinga and Valdez' availability while Hajnal and Kuba should play.

For HSV, Atouba and de Jong are out. Guy Demel is doubtful and there are questions surrounding Paolo Gurrerero and Marcell Jansen, but they should be available for coach Martin Jol.

Yes, I see the mistake I made on the match day number. I will ask one of the moderators to correct it.

Sorry, but I'm mildly optimistic about this one...

Fortunately, HSV didn't have to play in the Uefa Cup this week, so the embarassment of losing 3-0 to Hannover should be fresh on their minds.

No need to be sorry for thinking HSV will win.

I would have, except my heart won't let me say "BVB will lose."

Last word from the BVB home page is that Hajnal, Tinga and Kuba are all on the match day roster.

Valdez was left in Dortmund because of muscular problems.

Yeah, well with that, I think we're going to see this 4-2-3-1 formation again with Zidan as the lone striker.

It will be interesting to see what we do.

I guess I was wrong on the formation.

According to Premiere, this is it.

    ---------------------------------Weidenfeller-----------------------------------------

    Owomoyela-------------Subotic------------------Kovac-----------------------Lee----

    ------------------------------------Kehl---------------------------------------------

    ----------Tinga--------------------------------------------------------Kringe--------

    ------------------------------------Hajnal-------------------------------------------

    -------------------Kuba-------------------------------Zidan-------------------------

Petric goal in the 9th minute for HSV. A Trochowski corner went over a crowd of players. Petric, the final player headed it to the far corner leaving Weidenfeller with no chance. It wasn't even a hard header, but a floater in the perfect spot.

Currently in the 15th minute, 1-0 HSV.

34th minute: Petric put a long pass in behind the BVB defense, caught pressing forward.

Owomoyela was totally beaten by Olic, who went in alone on Weidenfeller.

Weidenfeller came out and tried to stop Olic, but Olic rounded him easily and put the ball into our open net.

Petric with a goal and an assist.

    2-0 HSV.

We are not playing badly. We are playing with them and in some cases better.

They have just taken their chances, wheras we are having a problem creating any good ones.

However they are the better talented, better organized team at the moment.

Subotic did put a long range shot off the crossbar earlier, but other than that, we've really had no chances.

The amoung of running and harrying Klopp gets his men to do is amazing, I keep being astonished by that. Every other team slows down at least a bit if falling behind 2-0 shortly before the break.

That is the biggest improvement Klopp has made. He still has much work to do, but just that change shows he knows what buttons to push.

    68th Minute Update:

Hajnal scored for us in the 48th minute. Klimo came in for Kuba after halftime.

Kuba did get hit in the face near the end of the first half. I hope keeping him out is just a precaution and has not made his injury worse.

Still 2-1 for HSV, but we're back in this game big time.

A minute ago, Petric missed a header he normally buries. Hajnal came right down the other end and didn't miss a shot from about 20 meters out by much......

This match has really picked up.

Two minutes stoppage time. We've been the better team in the second half, but can't get that second goal.

Klopp doing a Doll, harassing the ref post-match.

It's been a gripping match (in the final 10 minutes especially thanks to Jol subbing in a 12th BVB player named Marcell Jansen...), all the best until we meet at the Westfalenstadion.

    HSV wins 2-1.

We tried to fight back, but to no avail.

No anger from me. That first half simply cost us.

Again, I was happy to see the team fight back the way they did, but they came up short.

And get this. Robert Kovac was red-card after the match for something he said to referee Dr. Jochen Drees.

Hajnal went after the referee after the match, but was pulled away by Klopp who also had a go a young Dr. Drees.

As the officials were walking off the field, Kovac said something from behind which made Dr. Drees go right for the red card.

Looks like we'll be seeing Santana for the next few weeks.

Did they have reason to be so angry at the ref? I watch this on a bad stream so don't generally judge on that.

No anger here either. I think you said it right footy about the team fighting. It's nice to see them not stop. We have got to get a better start on games though. Seems we are becoming a second half team. Hopefully we can put two good halves together and get a win next weekend!

Ugh...As the match drew to a close - I went online to see the result, couldn't help myself. Now we are 8th. Typical BvB spot. I hated to see Petric score!
