What's wrong with Wenger? It's only one man. I always thought Wenger is too dependent on his first team players. When they are injured or out or tired, he doesn’t know what to do. Of course all the bench players get pissed because they aren’t getting any playing time. We have ton of players that can fill in for Gilberto. Just move the team around, adopt your tactics.

Yeah, he really struggled to figure out how to replace Pires, Cole, and Seaman last year.

I think, more than anything, his complaint about losing Gilberto is a continuation of his fight against FIFA regarding these stupid international friendlies, especially ones that take place halfway around the world. His job is to win games for Arsenal, and he's going to do everything he can to make that happen. He doesn't give a toss about Brazil v South Korea, and I don't blame him one bit.

Exactly. This situation is like last year when some of the French players had to go to Australia for a meaningless friendly, where the Australian coach didn't even call back his European players.

I would be even angrier if I was the coach of Real or Barcelona as their players were also called in and they have big match-up against each other on the weekend.

All I can say is that one way to solve his international problems is to hire more English players! That's a lot easier because when England have International matches, the Premier League stops the League competition a weekend before and during the friendly match.

More English players? He's already got three of 11 starters. Anyway, I'm sure he'd love to have more English players, do you have any suggestions? The ones he's gone for have been overpriced, injury-prone, and all-around bad value (except for Sol). I doubt Owen's for sale. Rio's overpriced (as we all knew), Gerrard's in a funk, he's already got Sol - who else is there that's worth a damn? Maybe Paul Robinson?

I mean, seriously, you're talking about a national team where Gary Neville is an automatic starter - how much talent can there be there?

All another reason FIFA should let the player decide if they want to play for the National team.

Maybe I should tell FIFA I want a steak. Anyone want to wager someone money that they won't?

This topic goes along the lines of "is Freddie really injured?" Country vs club. I believe Freddie is just iffy and not full blown unavailable for his international.

Im glad the game is on the repeat, though this has been the MO for FSW.
