    I'm not sure I'll be able to make the game, but I heard the game will be blacked out here in Birmingham. Other Birmingham folks... can you verify this?

    Just read a quote from some "official" in the B'ham News that there are 50,000 Guatemalans in Alabama and he expected about 5,000 Guats at the game. I am not up on my profile of Alabama's population but if there are 50,000 Guatemalans then they sure are doing a good job of hiding.

    I doubt the game will be blacked out. Just speculation on my part though.

    If there are 50,000 in Alabama (which I doubt), you can bet that most of them live around Birmingham.

    There're slightly over 100,000 hispanics in Alabama. My estimate is that 3,000 to 10,000 of them are from Guate. Mexicans are about 50,000 in Al. Maybe they just got the two groups mixed up!
