bill maher urges voters for The GAP to "vote barbecue" and "vote for someone who's not smarter than you, because who wants an elite, smart person running the world?" thoughts on the video? on the campaign?
I get the message, but if the voters are as stupid as it occasionally seems, the message could be twisted by the time it reaches them. Barbeque is often associated with Black people, and the son and grandson of Navy Admrials could certainly be considered among the elite. Maybe the Gap meant it to be deliberately garbled.
Possibly. Especially once Palin/McCain gets thru spinning it to their viewpoint. Plus, if this is the same Gap that sells jeans and T-shirts, I'm not sure what they were thinking- racism enablers and whatever other type of conservative is out there shop at the Gap just like normal people do. They could face a boycott.
Yeah, here in NC, it's definitely a bi-racial obsession. The dividing line isn't black/white, it's East NC (Wilson-style) and West NC (Concord?).
Why is Bill Maher back all of the sudden? Wasn't it perfect when the only people who saw him were the ones watching late night HBO??
Which candidate makes the best barbeque? Unfortunately, I get the feeling that neither can qualify. Obama doesn't seem to have much experience with the type of wood, food prep, etc. McCain? I would be afraid that he burns the meat due to him taking a nap while slow cooking some brisket. VP? Frankly, this is the only category that Palin may win. I bet her reindeer saugage is killer!
LOL @ reindeer sausage. I think it's an interesting campaign GAP is running - while Maher is advocating people to vote for barbecue, the different takes in the other videos are worth seeing as well; Perez Hilton votes for freedom of speech, Mark Cuban votes for thanks, etc.. There's also some with Kristen Bell and Minka Kelly, which I liked for obvious reasons.
