Every damn time an email from BS arrives in my mailbox I follow the instructions at the bottom of the message and double-check my account settings. And each time the same thing is true -- every checkbox relating to having BS send me email is checked NO. As a PAID subscriber, this is particularly annoying.
have you clicked on Subscribed Forums and Subscribed Threads and then unsubscribed any that you have? I know this doesn't directly address your problem, but it might help in cutting down the e-mail.
After readin gyour post i did a little digging and there was a problem affecting about 120 people. i had the tech boys fix it so the next mailing should be 100% correct
Just got another bloody mailing from your store AGAIN. Dated 12.17.03, subject "One Last Chance at BigSoccer" Better talk to those "tech boys" again.
I actually sat with them for 2 hours and verified it was done right. Perhaps you have two accounts - one in the store and one in the boards?
I have never created an account in the store nor have I placed an order. Would the BS Store have created an account for me without my permission? All of my account settings in BigSoccer are set to not allow email be sent to me by BigSoccer mods/admins/etc. I have made every attempt to follow the specific unsubscribe instructions as outlined in each message from the BS Store: If I visit the BS Store, I am not able to log in by any means, and when I enter my email address (the one the spam is being sent to) in the "lost password" system, I am not sent a password nor am I even confirmed that I am in the system. And as written above, I have re-confirmed this with my regular BS account on repeated occasions. At the very least, the "unsubscribe" instructions included with a BS Store mailing should specifically tell the user just what account they should update (e.g. BigSoccer versus the BSStore) or better yet, provide a direct link. There is also no customer service email address listed within the message; it is sent from "december@bigsoccer.com" I have attempted to contact BS and Kitbag via these means and have never received a response. Obviously my requests to stop email are not being taken care of, either. This is very, very frustrating.
I have personally checked your settings and they are set to NO MAIL - I have to dig deeper but I am personally on it.
Rony sent out another our last email of the year last night. If you got that one too let me know. He tripled checked all the settings...again.
