A great week this week, with every active player in the first division finishing with positive scores except for Flashman, who kicked dogs in a prior life and admits to preferring baseball over soccer (ok I made up the second one). LA brought home the goods in a huge way for 4 of you who bet over 140. NoSix continues to be the lead story, nabbing more hardware with Play of the Week and finishing runner-up to Weekly Cup winner and record breaker tab5g who shattered the old weekly Perf record with a 159. tab5g leaps from 43rd into the upper half of div 2, proving that no one is out of this race. NoSix grabs the overall lead in total winnings from IASocFan, who also put up outstanding numbers this week. Firefan2001 and BenC1357, who vaults from 20th to 10th, join these 3 in becoming the only players ever to have won more than they bet in a single week. (Remarkably this is firefan2001's second time around). Not to be outdone, Revolt and Deimos continue their duel at the top with Revolt grabbing the upper hand this week. Jlo, firefan2001 and NoSix continue to gain ground however, and all 3 move into positive territory for the year. Something worth noting is that 4 of the top 6, jlo, guamster, Deimos, and Revolt combined have only made 9 picks over 100 all season. Is this conservative strategy going to leave them vulnerable in the late season? Or, will data from the early season games help them land more money balls later on? ChangeT, BabyTiger, QDog and Scribe all power into the 1st division this week with strong results. Lurking brings home the informal Drunken Sailor and Fat Bastard awards, but he and his Quakes were sCrewed in Columbus, wrecking his week. Due to the fact that I perhaps overestimated expected returns a tad, it's worth noting that players such as sljohn, OGx3, lurking and encinitas who have bet large amounts may actually have better prospects at winning the league than their low rankings would suggest. I'd like to take a brief moment to thank Kamler, Jolley and the far-side AR in the CHI game for helping me to that 5 for 5 week.
