Umm, I don't know what you are talking about? It is not like I edited my comment to reflect next Friday instead of last Friday... I really have to learn how to read a calendar one of these days...
It never fails. It's like some kind of plot. Every single time you guys plan one of these, I already have plans to be out of town. I'm starting to get a complex.
I'm leaving town on Friday evening, so can't make that date either. Hope to get together with y'all soon.
I'm heading to Atlantic City for the Micky Ward v Arturo Gatti fight. Should be a good one. Catch it on HBO Saturday night. I guess I'll see youse guys at the next beer-a-thon. BTW, If I wasn't heading out of town, I'd be going to watch my good friend Todd West's American Eagles take on the GW Colonials in a first round NCAA match. The winner gets the pleasure of taking on #2 seed Maryland. Todd was actually an un-official assistant with DC United in 2001 before Ray got to town. Good Luck to Todd and the Eagles.
Sorry, revelation, but I'm hitting the road too. (No where as exotic as where Atouk's headed, I'm sure.) December maybe? Go AU! dadman
Location: Hmmm, again I was thinking easy access to Metro and supportive of soccer. I'm open to suggestions... As for all you people who will be out of town, don't worry, I'll drink your share!
Are more people going to be around the 29th (or will they be away for Turkey Day?) I think I have the 29th off so could get an early start! K
My belief is that people will be out of town for the 29th or otherwise engaged with Family... Hence this Friday. As normal, there will be people that can attend and those that can't. I'm expecting another one in December, perhaps BarbDett can post her schedule for December and we can work around it to make sure she can attend... How do people feel about Fados? Additionally, I heard from Dave Brother that a new sports bar opened around 1700 Pennsylvania and if 'soccer' people show up, they'll look into PPV and stuff. Basically, if we show there is a market they'll respond. What say ye?
that sounds pretty good. with the possible demise of summers it would be nice if we could find a spot to take up a bit of the slack. maybe peter pendergrast is still in town and could come down...
A new place might be fun to try. Georgetown has a game at the MCI so Fado's could be crowded. We need to get Aunger down for a happy hr, Vlad said he's working at Merrill Lynch in his building (Int'l Sq). K
Not that we had any doubt that someone would take up the standard! Knew we could count on you, sir. I like this plan! I like this, too! Yessir! I'd like to stand him a Molsson or Labatt. Then he could demonstrate his man-marking skills on Mr. Pendergrast. dadman
