I thought I'd take a look at this list. Interesting. Of my fellow June 30th, 2000, joinees, only 4 or 5 continued posting after 2000. Of those, only one got past 2003, with a last post entry of 2007. I'm sure all of those folks have done much better in their careers and/or school lives than I have since I signed my soul away to BigSoccer.

 

I wonder how many people got a new account instead of asking one of the admins for a name change on the same account?

 

Was a name change even an option then? I really wanted to and still want to change my name. However, I remain with the same lame nomer I assigned myself on that fateful day. Every once in a while I ponder the possibilities a creative, memorable screenname. But, as in my ordinary, daily life, I am in caught in a cycle of inertia.

Maybe by changing my screen name I could get a new lease on life. A new career, a new focus.

 

To really mix things up, change your real name and keep your screen name!

Me, I am sorry I waited an extra few months between my lurking period and actually joining - I want that 2000 join date! Can I change that Huss?

 

I think it was sometime in 2000 when I changed my SN.

 

I'm about to request my fourth or fifth name change. They're gonna love me.

I remember posting once or twice back when it was soccerboards or something like that, and basicaly a MetroStars fan site. I didn't get around to joining BigSoccer proper until later. If they transitioned the old users from the first site, it's possible one of the very old, very unused accounts is my original.

 

Unless you change the avatar, it's pretty obvious who you are.
