Jim Brennan (Nottingham Forrest) and Paul Peschisolido (Sheffield United) are playing each other in the semi-final round of the promotion playoffs (1st leg).

Rogers Sportsnet will broadcast both games on Saturday.

    Nottingham Forrest vs Sheffield United
    LIVE
    9:30am EST

    Wolves vs Reading
    Delay
    12:30pm EST

Sportsnet will also broadcast the second legs next weekend.

Unfortunately, I will be on my way to Toronto for the Montreal-Toronto A-league match, but I will have to set my VCR for the first game. It is not every day that we get to see two Canadian players play for their club teams.

I see Canadian players play for club teams all the time in the A-League!

So, we'll see you on Saturday then? Don't forget to say hi, even if you are sitting with the enemy fans. :)

Good for you. :) You are lucky to have an A-League team near you.....

I see Canadia players play for club teams all of the time in the CPSL.

However, I meant to say Canadian players playing for European clubs.

Yeah, I will be around on Saturday and I will make sure to say hello... even if it means going to the u-sector (I think that is what it is called). :)

Yes, I know. I suppose I should have added a smiley face as well as the exclamation point.

If you have the time feel free to come to the pub after the match & chat with all the lads. I can even give you a lift there if you need it (we usually car pool after the match, since the pub would be about a 20-25 minute walk otherwise).

Personaly, I think Sheff Utd would be too strong for Forrest whilst Wolves would win the other Semi Final. Sheff Utd V Wolves would make for a Mouthwatering final. I hope Wolves win, because they're due a place in the Premiership and have the best chance of staying up of those 4 teams.

Thanks, but my parents are coming down (they enjoy watching soccer) and we have to get back to Perth right after the game (almost five hour drive).

    Good to hear...

I didn't see the game, but the second leg should be fun to watch.

Your boy, Peschsolidio was clutch for the Blades today. Is he in your national team picture?

He hasn't played for Canada since Nov 2001 at Malta, but he is still in the national team picture. Holger keeps on saying that he knows what Pesch can do and he doesn't need to call him up.

I don't think he will be called up for the Germany game, but I would hope that he is still in the picture for the WCQ early next year.
