    Huge upsets here:

Michigan loses on penalty kicks to Ohio State

Penn State loses 4-3 to Illinios

    Wisconsin beats Michigan State 4-3

    and

Purdue is the only high seed winner with a 1-0 OT victory over Indiana

    Tomorrow:

    Illinois vs Wisconsin

    Purdue vs Ohio State

This means that if Purdue does not win the championship that the Big Ten will send an otherwise non NCAA qualifier to the tournament. Gotta love the conference post season tourneys.

:( Poor Abby Crumpton. I only wish we could have played Penn State and whooped on them again.

    Illini beats Penn State

    November 8, 2002

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Illinois women's soccer team pulled off the biggest comeback in school history in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament at Michigan State.

The eighth-seeded Illini scored four goals in the span of 18:04 to climb back from a 3-0 deficit and shock top-seed and 11th-ranked Penn State.

Penn State took control of the game with three goals starting in the 10th minute when reigning national player of the year Christine Welsh scored for a 1-0 lead.

But then Illini sophomore Andrea Ridgeway got the scoring started in the 62nd minute and the Illini on the board.

In the 69th minute, Ridgeway scored againg to get the Illini within one.

The Orange and Blue tied the score at 3-3 just 3:17 later when Tiffani Walker fired a rocket from 20 yards out that dipped just below the crossbar and into the onion bag.

The Illini completed the comeback in the 80th minute when freshman defender Kelly Campbell headed home the first goal of her career.

The Illini will take on fifth-seeded Wisconsin, 1-0 winners over the host Spartans, in semifinal action today.

    HUGE UPSET

Ohio State with there 7-10-2 record advance on PK's past Purdue to the Big Ten Final. They will play either Wisconsin or Illinois. Illinois is 9-10 while Wisconsin is 11-7. The Big Ten will pick up an NCAA spot with an otherwise undeserving team. That hurts other at large qualifiers throughout the country as the Big Ten will now get an extra team. Kinda fun, huh?

Wisconsin beats Illinois 1-0. That means an Ohio State vs Wisconsin final. If OSU wins, both teams could make the tourney as Wisconsin has a big win over University of Southern California early in the year. It could be a big year for the Big Ten.

ohio state wins the big ten title 2-1 over wisconsin :D

according to accounts i read about the game, ohio state dominated play most of the afternoon. this is a team with a losing record that beat 3 ranked team in a matter of days to win the title, that is impressive...
