Congrats to Wisconsin on kicking the ******** out of Alabama. Guess it's payback for the Tide blasting the Badgers in Tuscaloosa last year.
I think the big surprise so far this season has been Ohio State. 10-2, and really should have been 12-0 having let two games they should have won slip away by losing late leads. Managed to beat Texas Tech @ Texas Tech by holding a late lead, so maybe they've addressed that. Ohio State is light-years better at shooting the rock this year, and at defending the three. Illinois has emphatically NOT been a surprise. The severity that they beat Wake by was, however. I'm really looking forward to the OSU-ILL game next week. I expect Illinois will win, but it should be a good game. Dials has been a bear, but the key player for Ohio State will likely be Ivan Harris, because Dials will probably need help down low.
illinois 14-0 going into the big ten season some big wins over zaga, wake and cinci... arkansas, mizzou and georgetown didn't seem that bad big tens are always fun... every game is a battle
I tell ya, I still expect Illinois to beat Ohio State, especially at home, but given how good OSU has been playing recently, I can't help but feel optimistic for this game. I'm excited for Wednesday.
i don't care either way... it's the big tens... nothing is given and you have to fight like a mad man incensed with the rage of the fleas of a thousand camels with no blood in other words... it's huge... you die for these moments... never back down, never give in if both teams play that way (and i hope they do)... you can't say crap about anyone... and that is the big ten (imo)
17-0 start to the season only done once before... by the 88-89 team chance to beat that at northwestern and to better the previous two final four teams at the end of the season go illini
Illinois is overrated. Michigan State will challenge them every step of the way for the Big Ten title. I say that as a Michigan man, not a Spartan fan.
Michigan State should challenge for the Big 10 title, their toughest road game is Sunday @Wisconsin. Please send my regards to Ed Martin.
Michigan State should have won. They are a better team than Wisconsin. Not that I am upset about the win though.
just proves that you need to have a quality PG to win games, esp. close games on the road...Michigan State looked lost at the end of the game...and they couldn't make free throws despite being the best in the NCAA at free throws (81% before yesterday)
now Illinois gets to celebrate its 100th anniversary of basketball on Saturday vs. Minnesota, Lou Henson returns to Champaign
