Just want to give big props to both groups. They rock the house. See we CAN get along. Bigger section bigger supporters, let make it like this every game. Go GALAXY
It would be great if more G's fans joined in with the groups, the Galaxians or LARS, in lieu of complaining about the standing and/or cheering at other games.
pics? anyone? my two eurosnob friends watching their first MLS game with me loved thegame it was exciting and great atmosphere
where were u, i had a flag and a galaxy shirt on. I was to the far right and was the one sticking the pole up the chivas ass hanging from another persons flag
My big thanks are for two things: the fact that we had so many NON LARS or Galaxian people getting into it... well that shows hope for the future. But most importantly, when some ugliness started to happen, it was the GALAXY fans that were the "bigger men". If you were there, then you know what I mean. We rule the field, and we rule the mind games. We shall never stoop to their level. The Galaxay won twice last night. Thanks to all. Sincerely, The Reverend Tommy Mack
I am in the bottom right of that pic you posted, only my gold beanie was off at that time because it was the national anthem. I was the guy with Galaxians that had the anti-goat sign: Did you wave the Area 51 flag around?
ya, im the one that told the ref i was gona stick it up his ass . damn it got so crazy there after that 2nd goal, i looked back and EVERYONE was going insane. then we all started jumping singing ole and i almost past out....best game of my life
socluis90, I was sitting right behind you. You gave me the lighter to light up the sparklers.... best game of my galaxy life... the energy of both groups was so contagious that even non lars and non galaxians were standing and cheering for the galaxy... also, i enjoyed how both lars and galaxians came together as one with simple chants such as LA GALAXY or Chivas sucks! it's like both groups compromised and gave up some of their differences... LARS was accepting of the drums during certain chants and the galaxians did not do many chants in spanish in order to include the lars... well done, you made my saturday
That was the most intense atmosphere I have ever seen for an MLS match. It looked great on TV. My mexican friend saw the game on the big screen and asked who was playing and where. When I said it was in LA vs Chivas. He asked Guadalajara? No, USA. It's in LA. He said it looked like a real match. I laughed and said it was a real match. By the end of the match he was actually pulling for the G's and commented that would want's to go see them when they are in town on 5/10. Great job to everyone in attendance!
You guys looked and sounded great on television. I was bumming the cable/bigscreen setup at my neighbor's house for the match, and they asked why I was staying up to watch even though neither team is really "my" team. I told them about the rivalry/shared stadium, but also that the fans at this game would be great, and that always pushes the teams. The game was fast and the atmosphere seemed great on the broadcast. You guys definitely have the premier venue and atmosphere, and the LAG/Chivas matches are the ones to watch.
hey whatsup, 2 of my friends were new to the Galaxy and they were jumping and singing throughout the game. Those sparklers looked tight but my smokebombs were duds
man, that was the best match I have been to (from the supporters point)... for the longest time it was a Merseyside Derby but this was it!! I think Dougie convinced someone above to give us the power to win!
so remind me again why LARS and the Galaxian are split and far away from each other during home games..........I'll be waiting seriously, can anybody come up with a good reason? road games in SJ kicked ass.......what a surprise, the two groups work together road game at chivas........there it is again.......working together home game...........each in their own section........atmosphere leaves much to be desired I'm scratching my head over this........don't leave me hanging, I don't want to scratch my way to a bald spot
Home game against Chivas....both sections separate....both kick ass. I think putting the clubs together for, say, the Wizards' visit and expecting a Chivas derby atmosphere isn't realistic. There's no reason to keep them separate, but there's no reason to lump them together, either. Galaxians were fantastic on Saturday, though. It was even better than when Galaxy Deportivo picked up one of them screaming "******** you, Bo!" to Hong-Myung Bozo at the Korea friendly. You know who you are, and you deserve a medal for it.
The match against the Goats had to be the best experience I had so far at the HDC. I love it when LARS and the Galaxians come together as one supporter section(s). Why these two supporting groups don't merge together for every match is beyond me. But I think it's okay that we don't have them together for every match because it's makes those certain matches that much more lively, exciting and entertaining. Much props to all the Galaxy supporters that came out on Saturday, for giving it your all and adding to the great footy atmosphere!
