How did Lindon Pecorelli make the Big East Team and Andres Rota not make it? I don't doubt that LP played a big part on the team, but Rota had more points and more assists all while playing roughly the same number of minutes. Rota was third on the team in scoring in Big East play. Can anyone chime in that actually saw games and let me know if I am off base

I was HUGE on Pecorelli last year and he disappointed me. I thought this year he would break out. He really hasn't in the games that I've gone to. He didn't enter last weeks game until the second half and wasn't in very long. When he was in, he was less somewhat invisible (only time I noticed him was when he lost the ball). He seemed "out of it". Rota on the other hand was a spark to the team. He and Rui came in about 10-15 minutes into the Rutgers game and totally changed the pace of the game. I think Pec got more minutes than Rota, especially in the earlier part of the season, but Rota has looked better than Pec (in my opinion). Hey Northgoal, did I see the UCONN students wearing a shirt that something about being the 12th man on the field? Kinda cool.

Yeah, they're the 12th man. They've grown on me during the season, though I don't think any of them know the first thing about soccer. They even put up a little sign that says that they say vulgar things and you might be offended if you sit near them. I hope they skipped their classes and went on down to Rutgers for the tourney. We need to kick our road woes.
