Blackpool today linked with French defender Laurent Bonnart, recently released by Olymique Marseille.

This time - striker Febian Brandy who was released by ManUre at the end of his contract on 30 June 2010.

He is only 21 and would qualify as an under-21 player as he was born after 1st January 1989 so would not need to be added to the 25-man squad (which currently has one spot available).

And of course he is available to be signed because he is a free agent. No doubt it is probably another made up rumour but you never know!

Playing in goal for Ghana he has a hell of a lot of experience of big games, especially considering Ghana made it to the quarter-finals of the World Cup in July, losing out in what can only be described as dubious circumstances to Uruguay, when Sousas hand denied them victory late on.

He is clearly going to be big competition for Matt Gilks but it is great to have him in the squad, especially with Paul Rachubka now expected to be out until January 2011.

Blackpool are being linked to Italian playmaker Enzo Maresca.

The 30 year old frmer Sevilla midfielder ould be a target for Blackpool, if reports are to believed. He has been a big hit all over Europe during his career, but has recently been released by Greek side Olympiakos and so is available to sign outside the transfer window.

Blackpool are one of a number of PL clubs linked with him.

 

Blackpool are one of the clubs being linked with a move for former Paris Saint Germain player Bernard Mendy who apparently wants a return to England.

The versatile former French international is currently training with Ligue 1 side Caen but is free and available to move for nothing after his contract with Hull City was cancelled last May following their relegation from the PL.
