After watching my tape of the Brazil game (a pretty unsettling performance by the US), I revisited Beulah's excellent match report and I have to ask who was responsible for scheduling that Ireland game? What a waste of time. Heather O'Reilly had to get hurt in a "game" like this? Playing non-competitive sides that can't or won't attack does nothing for team development and preparation. Save this sort of opposition for the post-WC tour, or better, for after the Olympic Games, when we will be looking to rebuild and work new players into the pool.
