He was subbed out in the 70th minute. Almost had a goal in the first half. Just pulled wide past the far post. Overall looked pretty good. He will help them.

The Red Devils win 1-0, vaulting them back into 2nd. Huge game in a couple weeks against league leaders Magdeburg. I doubt they can catch them, but gotta keep taking points with such a tight table.

Dooley* noted: Terrence Boyd at K’Lautern
    (Red Devils)

    * Former USMNT captain Thomas Dooley led 1. FCK to both the Bundesliga title and Super Cup triumph 30 years ago. A legend there.

Pretty amazing that at age 22-23, Boyd has very good scoring rate for Rapid Wein. (8-10 years ago).

Nowadays, that kind of preformance gets you an MLS DP deal (witness DC United signing today) or multi-million dollar transfer to a big league in Europe and huge salary.

It seems Terrence’s timing (and injuries) always made him just a little ‘off’ for a much bigger contract in his career.

Surprised the FCK wiki hasn't been updated with his signing.

He did get a move to a Leipzig that was surging through the leagues though. I'm sure he was on decent wages there, he just got hurt and never really recovered.

Boyd opens his account with the Red Devils late in the first half. 1-0 K-Town early in the 2nd.

That Cyclops Celebration is wasted in the third division. Sadly, they're closer to relegation than to promotion and if no one showed enough interest in Boyd when he was younger, now at 30 he's likely stuck there.

TB was transferred to Kaiserslautern who are 2nd in the table and pushing for automatic promotion. If he (and FCK) play their cards right, they will find themselves back in the 2nd Bundesliga.

Time for the Mods to update the thread title. :)

They're 2nd place right now actually.

What a world where this game is on YouTube and I'm watching it on delay. Almost a great assist for Boyd in the 31st, well placed cross after beating a guy on the right wing, but headed over, and Magdeburg score less than a minute later.
