Cool podcast interview with Terrence (in German). He talks about his whole career, how Toronto is a cool city but he was ready to play and be with wife and child back in Germany, he's a big NY Giants fan, David Wagner is the best coach he has ever had, all his favorite cafes in the cities he has lived, and how his cafe in Mannheim is doing just ok. He's a cool dude and I am glad he is doing well in Halle.

He wasn't ever going to be good enough for Dortmund, but before he ruined his knee I thought he had a shot at BL1 yo-yo starter. He's come back very well mentally from that and is such a likable guy. He'll be fine whatever happens.

Also in the interview, he said plans to go into coaching, that he really likes working with young players.

Scored a double today in a 3-2 win over Ingolstadt, massive win as those were teams competing for 1st place. Win takes his team to 1st place.

    current season.
5 goals and 2 assists in 5 games

I am so happy that Boyd is doing well.

@bungadiri @TheFalseNine can we change the thread title?

It's long past time to do that. Let's just go with this one. We're not likely to get better.

I was really hoping it would be "Straight to Halle, Boyd!: Terrence Boyd @ Hallescher FC"

But I want all our titles to be 70/80/90s rock lyrics... (Still sad about Swede Home Alabamian. I may never recover from that...)

They've been in the automatic places for the last five games. While it's tight at the top - only one point ahead of second, two ahead of third, and six points separating first and seventh - Halle are scoring for fun and have a positive GD of 15. That's double the next best and, while they have the most productive offence, their defence is the meanest in the division by far.

Early days, of course, but it's looking good for them and for Cyclops

if they do get promotion let's hope Boyd doesn't flop in 2BL.So far his best football was ages ago in Austrian Bundesliga after that is when he became injury prone.

Just so everyone contextually understands, if halle were to be promoted it would be the equivalent of muncie indiana playing (usdl?) 2. division mls. Think leicster city epl champions.

picked up a goal and assist in a 3-3 draw. Draw makes them drop to 2nd place.

What’s all the fascination on these boards with Muncie, Indiana? My wife is from Muncie.

Still in first on goal difference by virtue of Unterhaching's draw. Tight race at the top though.

Wondering the same thing. I'm from Ft. Wayne, an hour north of Muncie and proud home of DaMarcus Beasley.

Since y'all are too lazy to research my question (and thus enable my laziness) I did it myself and discovered there is a reason- the Middletown Studies. Interesting.
