I saw this on the Quakes board. The article is about the finest goal that George Best ever scored and mentions how he eluded both Rongen and Hudson in the process. Here's the link to the article: http://www.oaklandtribune.com/Stories/0,1413,82~10835~1422134,00.html One of Hudson's quotes about the goal: "It was like watching Fred Astaire on a surfboard, riding a wave, with a Turkish belly dancer thrown in there." But here's the really good thing. On the 'Quakes board there's a link to the video. First of all, it's an utterly amazing goal. But more on topic here, the video shows both our last two coaches getting burned by Best. I'm not certain but from the description in the article I'm pretty sure Hudson's the one who runs up to Best right as he receives the pass. And I think Rongen is the one that slide tackles Best right after that. Correct me if I don't have it right. The Video Thread: https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=51920 Quite amusing.
Well the Cosmos did score 8 goals on the Strikers once in a deciding game of the playoffs in front of 60k+. What is amazing is that Gordon Banks was in goal, no slouch that Banks.
