I curious to know everybody's opinion on which Yanks have had the best seasons so far. I compiled my list of the best XI from this season.

GK: Toss up (Keller, Firedel, Hahnemanm have
    all been outstanding)
    DF: Berhalter--Cottbus
    Sanneh--Nuernberg
    Gibbs--St. Pauli
    Cherundolo-Hanover
MF: O'Brien--Ajax (even though he's hurt and has
    hardly played, he deserves it)
    Lewis--Fulham
    Joe Enochs--Osnabruck
    John Van Buskirk--Siegen
    St: Kirovski--Birmingham
    McBride--Everton

to be honest i really don't know much about him. I do know that year in and year out he puts up good numbers. Most of Van buskirk's career has been in germany and I think this season he's Siegen's captain. For some reason i think he played college ball at indiana in the early 90's. I also remeber either Sampson or Arena giving him some looks a few years ago.

Last year JT would have been on my list, this year he is no where to be found.

Yeah, he went to Indiana. He played around the same time as Maissoneuve(sp?) and Todd Yeagley. Never as widely regarded as these two, but he's done pretty well for himself overseas.

Have not heard much about Joe Enochs this season either.

    What happen to him?

Enochs was a bit more of a hot topic when his team was in D2. That's when he earned his cap. Unfortunately, they didn't last long in the B.2. That said, he is still a fixture in Osnabruck's lineup as far as I know.

Eric Lukin at Siegen, Pell Matarazzo at SV Wehen, Jacob Thomas at E. Braunschweig and Adam Maurer at SC Verl have also had solid seasons.

Maurer might be the pleasant surprise of the bunch, as he went from a defunct A-League team (San Diego Flash) to a first-team place in central defense for a D3 German team.

Olaf has posted regularly on Joe and Osnabrucke. Seems to be the same old Joe. Collecting bruises and yellow cards as he anchors the DM for his side. I think maybe he wore the captain's armband recently - but don't quote me as my memory is near to non-existent these day. I quick search of Olaf's posts will give you his season to date.

Should have known better than to ask questions like that.

Need to take more time to explore those Lower Division German threads.

Can't tell if this is sarcasm or not but I only sent you Oalf's way as he does a very good job of rounding up the games and usually combines all the lower division teams together. But to save you the trouble/time, from what I've read GI Joe seems to be doing more of the same, just a division lower.

Now if Melchior Arnold can just get to the D1 in Switzerland...

No, just a stupid typing of Fryslan...

Guess those "learn to type in your spare time" courses didn't really pay off, huh? I'm hoping the "learn to spell Dutch words in your spare time will do better."
