I just got my Grade 08 certification and I'm picking up all my needed equipment for the new season. I was wondering if anyone had any specific recommendations for a watch. Looking on the web, I see several that are designed specifically for soccer (or any sport with stoppage time). Does anyone feel strongly (for or against) any particular watches. Any input is appreciated...
No real difference, I would put money into buying a couple of the eight jerseys available before I spent the extra for a "speciality watch". I have a Timex, works great.
I got the Digi Sport last year as a tournament gift, and really like it. AYSO store may have the best price. If you shop around you should be able to find it for under $30.
Same here. My first one died a year ago after 3 plus years of service. I love the stoppage timer feature and the fact that it displays right above the countdown timer. Makes adding stoppage a real joy. No more guesswork. The Adidas commemorative watch seemed to not have that feature or if I recall you had to press a few buttons to get to it. I must also say that the offset on the wrist band turned me off. Otherwise the design was quite attractive.
hear hear. i use a Wal*mart watch that only has a chrono (no countdown...time elapsed is time elapsed ). i might con mom into getting me another cheapie @ the PX tihs afternon.
