that, like everything we're talking about is for the reader to decide i guess. personally for me, Italian Ultras bring the best support...It would be nice to cut back on the violence don't get me wrong...but i don't mind so much if there' a scrap every now and then...Nobody intends to kill anybody, and all the ultras know what they're getting into (of course nobody expects a police officer to play holywood cowboy with live ammo either) If you've ever been in a stadium, in the heart of the atmosphere...You can probably agree with me that during these times...theres no oxygen coming to your brain and you become a totally different person. Violence HAS to be cut down...but if there was going to be a fight, and obviously there will be...I'd prefer if the Ultras acted more like in Russia...fairly equal numbers, no weapons...So then there is no damage, nobody else is getting hurt. people gotta look at the bright side...everyone complains about how Italian football is just such a mess...but if you compare that to some years ago....it's an incredible improvement
The only thing Italian football needs is new stadiums. Some of ones now like in Udine, Firenze, Palermo etc ... are pretty old and plain. The key to building these stadiums is financial stability in the clubs, and from what I've heard Italian clubs are doing better than 5 years ago financially. Nobody should ever worry about Serie A in general or Italian supporters. Neither is going anywhere anytime soon.
Yeah everyone should all wear the same colours and wave flags that would make things much more exciting. Ha!

Well it's no one from England, that's for sure. I live in England, I've seen Liverpool have amazing support, but sadly only for the big matches. Marseille totally outsang them at Anfield. It's gotta be Olimpiakos, they travel in large numbers, always sing, and their home atmosphere is simply amazing. Most of the teams from continental Europe have good supporters, and that's everything to do with the ultras mentality. Celtic and Rangers are also good, they also have ultras

Serie A fans are legendary ... They're not holding Serie A back. They are Serie A. That is the culture the fans created, and it's beautiful. Us fans in the continent don't want our supporter cultures sanitized like in England. Of course violence shouldn't happen in football, but it's not fair to punish 99% of fans for the errors of the other 1%.
Hooligans aren't Ultras, some Ultras are hooligans. When you think of proper Ultras, think of the KOP for Liverpool or the Stretford end for MU. It's the very passionate, season ticket holders, singing for 90 mins no matter what, one love one club, type of fan. If all Ultras were violent, there would be an ongoing civil war in Italy. lol

Eh atmopheres at Anfield and Old Trafford are crap and there is never singing at either of those grounds for 90 minutes. Good shout Triphat, as much as I dont like Olympiakos (especially after beatin us last week at the Olimpico) their fans atr absolutely amazing! Home and away! Although they didnt outsing Lazio at the Olimpico (nobody could) they made defo made themselves heard, brilliant fans. Even when they played Lazio behind closed doors there were fans outside watching on a big screen doing their best singing so they could be heard from inside the ground. Still I think Panathinaikos are better!!!
