Thierry Henry Andriy Shevchenko Ronaldo Samuel Eto'o Fernando Torres Didier Drogba Ruud Van Nistelrooy Mateja Kezman Roy Makaay Patrick Kluivert David Trezeguet Obafemi Martins Adriano Fabrizio Miccoli Allesandro Del Piero Hernan Crespo Diego Forlan Raul Fernando Morientes Milan Baros Djibril Cisse Diego Forlan Alvaro Recoba Javier Chevanton Javier Saviola Robinho Wayne Rooney Jose Reyes Eidur Gudjhonsen Rivaldo Adrian Mutu Zlatan Ibrahimovic Henrik Larsson
I think Ronaldo is faster than Thierry Henry in pace and got more skill and Andriy Shevchenko will always score goals whereas Hernan Crespo did not really get going at Chelsea two seasons ago i have no clue why he is back at Chelsea I believe that he should of stayed on at AC Milan. He was doing really well there.
I tried to make my top 5, but i couldn't cut down the list more than to 6. i didn't know who to leave out out of the following at my preference order Ronaldo Andriy Shevchenko Thierry Henry Ibrahimovic Samuel Eto'o Adriano The following are the names that struck me the most for even making into your long list. Fernando Torres Mateja Kezman Patrick Kluivert
Torres is a real young hope for the future with Atletico Madrid and Spain.Everyone knows about Patrick Kluivert even though he was a bit of a flop at Newcastle. Finally Mateja Kezman scored 35 goals in 34 games at PSV two years ago.
--- while everyone on the list deserve some kind of notice, the ones underlined don't currently qualify for consideration as "best in world", at least in my opinion. Henry Sheva Rooney
Robinho is a name for the future but is still quality.Miccoli is doing really well at Benfica. Morientes will get going eventually at Liverpool. Cisse is a good talent as shown in his European Super Cup display in July where he scored twice against CSKA Moscow. Rivaldo was very good in his hay day and is still banging in the goals for Olympiakos. Gudjhonsen has never dissapointed at Chelsea even though he only gets 20 minutes here and there. Mutu was a brilliant talent at Chelsea before he was proved positive on his drugs test back in September 2004. Finally, Larsson was always banging in the goals at Celtic and seemed to get better with age and everyone remembers that fateful day at the Bernabeu where he got injured and had to sit out the rest of the season. Has that explained all the strikers you have underlined why they are in my list?
--- can't you dig up some junior high kid in Romania and add him cuz he scores 53 goals for his team? why put people on a list if they don't qualify now. your thread says "now". i thought that meant "now".
fair point u got me there i am going to revise my list and i will cut out everyone who has been good in the past and future.
Ronaldo Andriy Shevchenko Obafemi Martins Thierry Henry Christian Vieiri Alberto Gilardino Fillipo Inzaghi Samuel Eto'o Hernan Crespo Raul Morientes Djibril Cisse David Trezeguet Didier Drogba Ruud Van Nistelrooy Roy Makaay Miroslav Klose Kevin Kuranyi Jon Dahl Tomasson
the ones in bold are my fav from your list. surprisingly your strikers of choice are mine as well. I would like to see Adu on that list, as well as messi, and rooney, someday! morientes is a confusing one. he was a galactico once, the reds are going to ruin his career... if injuries dont first
I really do hope Morientes gets back on form, but he will have to fight with Peter Crouch in the liverpool starting line-up.
but I would definitly take a healthy morientes over that doofus any day. I just dont know if Benitez would feel the same way. hopefully its a cisse-like situation, cisse is international worthy.
May I ask who u think should play upfront for Spain in the world cup? I think Morientes,Raul and Torres if possible a 4-3-3 formation.
truthfully not familiar with any second tier players in spain, all I know is raul, for all the criticism he gets, will probably be the captain. I would like to see valeron, baraja, and vicente providing support to raul and torres. it must be hurting morientes not to be able to help his team recently. spain is in danger of losing the iberian peninsula's title of futbol champ to, Portugal. Spain is in grave danger and Portugal is looking to make up for 2002s embarassment
Old man Ruud still has some goals left in him, and with Henry out of the picture for the moment, the old poacher gets my vote.
Thierry Henry Adriano Ronaldo Zlatan Ibrahimovic Andriy Shevchenko For me, that is the top5, in order. Forlan can be there, but he has slow begin of season.
moreno is awsome, especially now as he is older back when he was younger he would lose his cool a lot and play frustrated.
