Forgive me, but my Spanish is really bad( though I can read it much better than I can write it), so I'm just post this in English: It really sucks with the Euro-bias as far as referee's. Moreno may not be a good ref, but he was far from the worst thing from WC2002, yet he is the ref you hear the most about. The Spanish ref that did Germany-Cameroon was far worse, and the various linesman including the British guy from Italy-Korea were worse. I think Dallas' lack of a handball call in Germany-USA was worse than Moreno's 2nd yellow on Totti in the late stages of extra time and yet he somehow makes that list. I just got back from Guayaquil and I don't remember seeing anything about Moreno running for any political office, but I did eat in a little Italian place run by a guy from Roma. On the menu was pasta de Byron Moreno. I didn't sample it because I figured he'd spit in it or something.
no pasta! pasta ala Moreno....$$$$$$$$pensive good post rifkin, welcome here and do not be stranger! did you get to see any futbol games in quito? how come you list barcelona FC as one yours? BIOSOCCER, is also from ecuador, chk the ecua folder her.. see ya
Re: no pasta! pasta ala Moreno....$$$$$$$$pensive I saw Barcelona - El Nacional in Mid-December. Barcelona blew it. We are there every Christmas and I usually get to see at least one end of the season match. My wife is from Guayaquil and her entire family are Barcelona supporters, so I had to become one to survive
Re: no pasta! pasta ala Moreno....$$$$$$$$pensive Need to be more specific, I'm from Guayaquil (a "mono" should never be confused with a "serrano"... though it would be an honor for a "serrano" to be taken as a "mono" ).
Re: Re: no pasta! pasta ala Moreno....$$$$$$$$pensive Maybe mistaken for a smelly 'mono' And don't you mean 'longo' instead of 'serrano'
Re: Re: Re: no pasta! pasta ala Moreno....$$$$$$$$pensive No 'serrano' is just fine, 'longo' is a little too much for my polite language
