I'm guessing Brazil is already stacked in his positions, and they would rather 'develop' the younger players.
    But I'm not sure.
Wasn't he incredible in the 1998 and 2002 run? (including qualifiers)

Yeah man. He was raised in a very poor family in Tres Coracos, Brazil and his parents, growing up. He first learned the game of soccer from his father who was a decent center forward until his career was halted by a fractured leg. Pelé began playing soccer for a local minor-league club when he was a teenager. When he wasn't playing soccer he shined shoes for pennies.

he was then spotted and played for santos brazil new york and became a legend. He lived happily ever after.

Im surprised nobody here has mentioned Adriano yet. I mean sure the guy is on the younger end of the scale. However the fact that he grew up in the favellas of Brazil and now both Chelsea and RM are willing to shatter the transfer fee record for his contract does warrant some mention.

Zidane found a young kid living on the street, looked after him and now the guy is playing soccer at one of the local youth clubs.

Zidane himself came from pretty humble beginnings.

Jared Borgetti grew up in the slums of Mexico City. He prostituted himself on the corner of hos street. He gave blow-jobs for just 2 pesos. Then he was spotted by the mexican national team coach, and the rest is history.

Yah man seriously Ive read a couple of Interviews with him that said if it wasnt for football he would probably be dead along with many of his former friends. He grew up in the favellas of Rio (I believe). Barely knew his father who was shot last year, but he was close to him before his death. His mother now lives comfortably with him and his wife.

Pretty much the standard poor brazilian who becomes a soccer phenom, see Ronaldo before him as well, although I belive Adriano was a little more hard up than the buck toothed one.
