Every manufacturer these days seem to be releasing "R" or a sportier version of a popular down car. So, let's have a poll and see what YOU, the user, thinks. I would go with the Sentra SE-R.

The Toyota Matrix is getting a lot of press these days - and the Mazda Protege 5 is also supposed to come out with a 170 HP engine for 2004.

I do believe both SVT Foci (the ZX3 and ZX5) have the 170hp engine.

BTW my vote was for the Focus SVT (I have a SE sedan). Although I would be buying the ZX5 instead of the ZX3 just because the five door model has alot more utility than the 3 door.

My bikes would look awesome mounted on top of the ZX5!!!

I concur. But the WRX isn't a $15k car with a $19k version available, so it doesn't qualify in this thread. How much is the STi supposed to MSRP for anyway? I'm guessing high $30k's?

I have to agree with slipknotter on this. The WRX STi is in a completely different class than the cars listed in the polls. Let's compare apples to apples.

Actually I think the STi is supposed to MSRP at 30K. That's expensive, but not too bad considering the goodies it comes with.

Surprised the Corolla S isn't on this thread. I've seen a few but don't know what's under the hood or anything.

I own an Impreza 2.5RS and it pumps out about 170 HP for about $20K. Upgrade to the WRX for about $25K and your talking about 230 HP.
