What is the best possible Irish team to field? My guess would be (usign a basic 4-4-2 formation) GK: Given LB: Harte (ugh... just for the free kicks) CB: Cunningham CB: Carr RB: Finnan (maybe Gary Kelly) LM: DUFF (not Kilbane, or Reed, or anybody DUFF ON THE WING) CM: Kinsella CM: Holland RM: Carsley CF: Robbie Keane CF: Morrison Subs: Kilbane, Gary Kelly, Steven Reed, somebody, sub-goalie (I cant think of his name since he's very new... Kiely wasa great backup, shame)
Carr at centre half!? What!? I'd go for this, by the way... Gk - Given Dl - Finnan Dr - Carr Dc - Cunningham Dc - O'Shea Ml - Duff Mr - Reid Mc - Carsley Mc - Delap Fc - Keane Sc - Morrison I say Fc for Keane as he should drop deep as often as possible, he's at his most dangerous doing that, whereas Morrison should hang around the box, be a presence and score the goals.
I agree, the real R. Keane plays best at cf. I agree, the real R. Keane plays best at cf. That said, it would be nice for Roy to kiss and make up. Great lineup.
Given Carr - Cunningham - O'Brien - O'Shea Finnan - Holland - Healy Reid - Keane - Duff Subs (from): Thornton, Dunne, Carsley, Delap Killa, Harte, Morrison, Breen, Crowe. Jonah
