i really liked how solari played and maybe i am happier w/ him since he isnt a 'galatico' but ronaldo was the best and most important followed by casillas.
I picked Ronaldo - scored when it matted (except for the end of the season), finished Pichichi even though he didn't score in the last 8 matches, and generally was a constant worry to the opposition. I'd say Solari stepped up the most as compared to what most people expected, Figo consistently was a positive when little else was, and Casillas made our record twice as good as it should have been. On the other hand, Zidane didn't play as well as he could consistently, Raul looked like RaulBravo attacking, and Beckham, as one paper stated, "started off playing soccer, went through the middle of the season playing soccer and running hard, and finished the season just running hard." But how can the Pichichi not be player of the year?
I think Cassillas just shades Ronaldo. But if either of the two had not been there I think we would have ended up struggling for a UEFA Cup place
im biased as zizou is my favourite player ever! -(im even supporting france in euro2004 despite being english due to the great man)
