Ok, guys, I'm putting this one up for debate, I have this argument with my friends all the time. Who has been the best NT player in the last 20 years? Some say it's been el chorri, but I strongly disagree. I would put my money on Solano. I am just talking about NT, who cares what they did in their clubs, etc. Hence why Pizarro shouldn't even be mentioned.

Just our national team. Pizarro was a great player in Bayern/Werder Bremen, but his performance for the NT was horrendous. Always has been.

    Chorri, by far.
but it's not just from statistics, it's from everything.

#2, probably Chemo. He was there in Peru's darkest moments.

If we only consider the national team performances I'd say is Roberto Palacios by far, over Nolberto Solano.

    Chorri.

Solano was maybe more consistent but Chorri could take over some games in ways that Solano never could.

    ^No Cachete Zuniga?

Remember that epic goal against Bolivia in Copa America 1999 and that goal against Haiti in Gold Cup 2000? :D

Yeah I would say Chorri was by far the best player in the last 20 years, which is quite sad.

Quite sad? Chorri in his prime would've been the star for any South American NT that wasn't Argentina or Brazil.

I still have no idea why peru didn't win the 2000 Gold Cup. We were probably the best team there.

    The answer is easy: Maturana.

You know you are a shit coach you couldnt beat FCKING HAITI and a USA team who wasnt even ready to be competitivo...

It seems that almost everyone is saying el Chorri. No me convence el chorri. I guess part of it is because of the 1997 Qualifiers when we played against Chile and lost 4 - 0. Chorri played like shit.

EVERYONE played like shit against Chile.

Hence the 4-0 result. Chorri wasn't at defense
