The Four Agreements, by Don Miguel Ruiz; subtitlted something like "Toltec Wisdom". Mr. Ruiz is a Toltec Indian. It's a small book that can be read easily in an afternoon but you will think about it long after. If you're looking for a little spiritual nourishment/encouragment/AND challenge, and you've already read the Bible and you're sick of all the New Age crap like so much diarrhea, try this one, I think you'll get a lot out of it. Anyway, otherwise have a great Holy-Day.
Can you say some more about this book? I'm curious, of course, to know what the four agreements are, but I'd settle for an explanation of whom the agreements are between.
My favorite little spiritual book is "Peace Is Every Step" by Thich Nhat Hanh. I can't tell you how many times I've read it!
Nothing quite gets your spiritual heart pumping like a bit of ritual human sacrifice. Get some! Get some!
I don't know anything about Toltec sacrifice, either current or in the past, but the Four Agreements are: 1. Be impeccable with your Word (the most important one) 2. Don't take anything personally 3. Don't make assumptions 4. Alwayz do your best Simple, almost silly, but powerful, especially the way he presents them. Anyway, you might get a lot out of it. PS. Not trying to criticize in any way any other spiritual material, the Bible, New Age or otherwise. But this one is the - or "A" - real deal. Have fun!!
If I were the resolution-making type, those would be great candidates IMO. I will have to look for this book on half.com! Thanks for the tip.
