what do you guys think the best jerseys dc has ever had? i personally like the ones that were white and had the stripes going down the side and also had the eagle stitched in
i think dcunited.com had a poll on this, popular demand showed the home kit for 2003, but i think the new away kit.
My favorites are always the Black ones, but of the white ones I like the white with black trim. I think the one with those 3 vertical stripes down one side looked darn cool. The current white ones look pretty nice as well, but I'd prefer it without the shoulder stripes. -Digital
Yes they did have a poll, but the white jersey with the three vertical stripes wasn't on it. (my personal favorite)

Black - Three white stripes across the front - DC Logo over the heart! If it was good enough for three MLS Cup victories, it is good enough to be called the best ever!
I like the red white and blue longsleeves -- didn't we beat Vasco da Gama in those? I have long wished the DCU website would have a section with pictures of every uniform we've ever worn. It's our history, after all.
I was not implying that we won it wearing the black jersey, just that the black jersey for the first 6 years was the best! I liked the original white but it changed quickly to the GTO striped one, which I liked better and then all to quickly to the cursed red and white.
the red and white jerseys are a sin to talk about. From now on, I think that in the FAQ and Rules, we add that "thou shalt not speak on the cursed red and white jerseys" "the jerseys that shall not be named" were the worst thing to happen to our team next to everything involved with the 2000 pre season.
Great idea. While at Matt Godek's Soccer & Rugby store on Gallows Road (near the Lee Highway intersection in the group of warehouses by Kitt's Music) I noticed most if not all of the previous jerseys hanging from the rafters. Very cool! I'm not sure whether or not it's complete, but it has about 6 or 7 jerseys hanging up there. I must say I got chill bumps when I saw them hanging up there. -Digital
By far the best is the white with three vertical stripes. In 1999 I was able to get all the players and coaches to sign my replica jersey and of course they went on to win it all. I am afraid of damaging all the signatures so it has not been worn since. Someday it will probably end up framed but now it just hangs in the closet reminding me of the glory years. Bring back the three stripe and I am sure we would win it all again.
I can't say that I don't like any of them. I like them all, not one more than another. Although my favorite will be the one with 4 stars over the logo.
I like last year's PINK MESH jersey. How effeminate can you be. Rimando wore it occasionally and the whole team wore it only once in an exhibition match (probably out of contractual reasons.) OF course, it is actually colored red, but looks pink to anyone standing more than 5 feet away (fans, tv crews, other players, etc) I waited 6 years for a f-ing red jersey and when it finally arrived it was PINK!
Worst...game...ever... Although the 4 of us in La Norte that day at the beginning had a good time going up against the sections of Boca fans behind the goal.
