My dad just came back from Italy today and brought with him a brand new Roma jersey for me. I tried it on and I was immediately impressed with all the incredible detail that Diadora incorporated in designing this exceptionally amazing shirt. I couldn't believe how smooth and comfortable the material was, I'm quite convinced that the fabric is especially designed to ventilate the player in high temperature weather. It is a high tech jersey considering that the "one in eleven" dots that can be seen on the shoulder of the maroon home version are actually thermo sensitive. The dots turn dark when its cold, and so once pressure is applied to them they shine bright orange which acknowledges that the temperature has risen. This shirt alone could easily turn the anonymous fan into a Roma fan. My dad simply didn't get me a new Milan jersey for this fact; from the handful of team shirts I've seen this shirt is by far the best. What jerseys do u guys like?
I must agree. Roma has pretty sweet kits. And I really am not a huge fan of orange...sorry Dutch fans. BTW, my Israeli friend is HUGE Roma fan for years now. Guess he wanted to pick someone besides the Big 3 (Inter, Milan, and Juve). I'm really impressed with mostly home kits for these clubs: Inter, Juventus, and Milan BTW, canzono55, I just started becoming interested in Serie A a few months ago.
Roma's strip, so smooth it feel's like toilet paper. It's a pretty bog awful kit designed to pander to Roma fan's homoeroticisms. Top 3 Kit's in Serie A at the Moment are Juve's Home Top, Lazio's and Parma’s, with special mention going to Perugia who's top has been constantly good the last couple of seasons.
I don't like the yellow numbers/letters or the white section at the bottom on the new Juve shirt, so they don't get my vote. Parma's are pretty sharp, and Roma's are very stylish, but I'm afraid Milan's are the best this year. They are just intimidating--but then that probably has something to do with the team wearing them.
1) Sampdoria 2) Roma - just good looking 3) Milan == As noted, Nike screwed up the Juve kits with the yellow numbers.
Juventus's has had the best kits for the last 3 years, then Nike came along and totally butchered them. Roma's are the best now, IMO. After that, Parma home. Classic yellow and blue horizantal stripes really looks nice. I really like Inter's socks with the yellow vertical stripe. Milan's away strip is classy, the white with red and black stripes on the shoulders.
the new classic black and red milan jersey its nice but im not crazy about the meriva sponsor and the design around the neck area is sort of ugly and unecessary(look at the new milan and madrid jerseys)
ROMA reign Supreme! reminds me of the time i took a cab to the vatican while wearing my 2000-01 kit...the cabbie had Lazio parafanallia...had it not been easter sunday I would have been fearful
I love the old Juve kits by Lotto and the new away ones by NIKE in the pink color w/ a houndstooth pattern (Juve's original colors). BTW, Champions magazine, the official mag of the Champions League, has a few pages this month explaining the origins of the kits worn by the teams left in the the tournament. Interesting stuff . . .
Ha. I have to agree with you mr magoo. Lazio is one of the best, juve is cool, and I dont mind the stark white Milan. Roma fans. Ha.
For me Lazio and Milan's are the top... Parma's has changed somewhat over the years and I prefer their old look from yrs ago... just wait till Palermo gets promoted
I just got the new Lazio away jersey in the mail. Very, very nice. Nicer than I expected. Wow. Definetly the best in Serie A.
What about Brescia and Bologna, esp Bologna's away jersey? Given that Nike has, if anything, tried to unclutter Juve's jersey as compared with previous years, I thought the yellow numbers were reasonable, but then again I'm not a Juve fan. Tony
Without a doubt the best looking uniform in the serie a is milan. THose beutiful colors of red and black combined to make the best looking strip. It is as simple as that!
Milan 1999 remember their kit after they won the scudetto in 1999? they have smaller stripes like the one they used back in the days. Retro jersey...i thought that was pretty cool.
