In honor of Halloween its time to look back at the best independent horror film that came out in the last 5 years or so. There's some pretty good ones that were made like The Blair Witch Project, Cube, and Ginger Snaps and others. If I was to pick the best one I would say Cube. Very original and very scary. What do you all think ?

if you want something that's kinda tongue in cheeck and probably the grossest movie ever made, try Dead Alive. it was directed by Peter Jackson (before he did lord of the rings). it's an over the top zombie gross fest, which at first is digusting, but eventually you get used to it and laugh your ass off

I am a horror movie fan and Dead Alive is a great movie. Definitely gets the award for the bloodilest movie ever made. Underated and deserves more respect.

I dont think it was an independent, but "Jeepers Creepers" was the best horror movie I saw within the past few years. Rent it out now. I have seen many movies and believe me I know. Clive Barker of the Hellraiser series called the movie the best horror movie of the past 5 years. Well made, scary, creepy and not chessy. Starts off slow, but stay with it.

I forgot, the best lately independent horror film was the filming of my beloved DC United team last season in MLS! :)
