On a really old "100 Greatest Goals" video, Bobby Charlton scored on a free kick of about 70 yrds. In slo-mo it's still difficult to see the ball. Maybe not the greatest...but it's close!

    Play on, roby

My favorite.. It's not so much the finish, which was nice though, but the entire buildup to Pele's perfect layoff, all of which was Brazilian football in a nutshell.. Everything is there.. I never tire of watching this goal over and over..

Falah Hassan with a very nice header against Austria. He had to come back for it, and actually head the ball in with his body horizontal.

Not the best goal ever, but i thought it should be mentioned.

I am surprised no one has mentioned this. The best goal in Champions League history, in a Grand Finale, scored by the great Zidane against Leverksen.

I was just watching this again this week. Not the greatest of goals, but as great a run as you'll ever see. While Cannavaro is winning the ball in and out of the box in the closing moments of th 2006 WC, del Piero is coming back into the box providing cover. As Cannavaro wins the del Piero heads upfield almost 100 yards to slot home the final shot of the tourney.

Nice goal from Diego (Werder Bremen) last weekend.

p.s.: I'm aware of the fact that this is NOT one of the greatest goals ever, but still a beauty to watch.

And then there is this beautiful header from Seeler...

    Some other ones:
    Marcelinho
    Fischer
    Piplica ;)
