There is a reglamentary distance between the goalie & the next opposing player that must be respected, which I'm not sure it was obeyed in Best's goal.
The play started at 1:42 min. Gerrie Muhren juggled the ball before passing it to Krol. Krol dribbled past a few Real Madrid players before shooting it. The shot was very bad, but that juggling act became legendary in Bernabeu. After the game, Muhren later walked back to his hotel from the stadium(weird for today's world). The Real Madrid fans surrounded him because they thought he was an Ajax fan. They were amazed by Muhren's juggling so they wanted to talk to an Ajax fan. So Muhren told them it was him on the field. @Pipiolo What about maradonas miss against england in 1980 at wembley ?.. Do you remember it..i cant find the footage ?.. It was a similar but better dribble than the one he scored against england in 1986.. At the end of his run he just puts it wide of shiltons post.. If anyone can find it please post it !!
How about Pagliuca's fumble in the 1994 world cup final deep in extra time... imagine if that had been the winning goal... he'd be having nightmares about that..
Yes, it was Mauro Silva. He scored only one goal in his whole career. But he was one of the best defensive midfielder I´ve ever seen. I don´t know why he wasn´t in the nomination at the World Cup 1998??
This goal deep into extra time for the US vs. Belgium would have been great if Dempsey had pulled it off. Personally I love these sort of goals, I remember Brolin for Sweden vs Romania in 94 and one Argentina scored against England in 98.
Man United scored one of those against Forest in 1965! At the start. Good Forest goals on there too. On topic I suppose Storey-Moore dummied the keeper nicely and then hit the bar but not the best goal almost scored to be fair!
