I still think RVP´s was better. Cahill´s was amazing, but very few players might be able to pull that palomita off. Technically perfect.

I'd say the opposite, Cahill's volley was with his weaker left foot with the ball coming over the right shoulder, about the most difficult volley to make, I'd say more players could pull off the header than that volley.

I agree with you. A left footed volley from a right footed player was harder.

Actually, most professional players, specially forwards, train both feet since they are pretty young. At least that's how it's done in countries that have experience in youth formation. Same applies to heading from both sides, ball control with either foot, etc. But RVP's was not only about techinque and timing, but also resourcefulness and creativity to finish a difficult play. Having said this, both goals were terrific.

They main train both, but are not equal with both, even with the most elite players.

Most obviously. What i meant is you can't train creativity, therefore, im inclined to think that many more players would be able score cahill's. But the discussion is futile. I wont change my mind, you wont change yours and the fact is those were and will probably remain the two best goals in the tournament.

It's getting harder and harder to pick though ... There's at least 15 other goals not on my list that are highlight material
