Just thinking about that 2nd Dynamo goal today got me remembering great goals in Dynamo history. Like that Geoff Cameron goal against Seattle, where he scooped the ball over a couple Sounders from inside our own half to Davis (I think), and somebody else was involved, and it ended with a perfectly slotted left-foot Cameron shot to the far post? Anybody know what I'm talking about? Or how about that sequence last year involving Davis juking people at the top of the box and slotting a ball through to Ching for the finish, I believe against Portland? And in the same game, Colin Clark megging Lovel Palmer to Ching for a goal? This is all from memory, so it may not be completely accurate. What are your favorites? Include video clips if you can find 'em!
Best Goals Derosario Goal vs Dallas 5/6 where he spins 360 Derosario Goal from midfield over Zach Thorton Any Ching Bike Chings leaping salmon header in the MLS cup 2006 Davis to DeRo snap header MLS cup 2006 Ching goal agains Seattle in playoffs 2008? Ngwenya goal in Chicago when the annoucer screamed like a child Adam 'Bomb' Moffatt against LA and their man mountain goalie from a ridiculous distance There are more but I couldn't ever pick a clear favorite... too many good memories!
God I remember that. What a great trip, everyone in the parking lot after the game discussing how to get to LA. What a great run last year. This year is shaping up to be memorable as well.
That was an epic run by the Dynamo. I was very happy for Carlo Costly as well. He started to get better at the end of the playoffs. That goal forced me to go to LA for the final.
The Dynamo used to be such sharp-shooters with people like Stuart Holden on the team. I dream that one day he comes back to us. One of the coolest goals I remember, and there are many of them, is Brian Mullan's back post sliding volley off of an outside of the foot cross from Alejandro Moreno against Colorado in the playoffs.
CCCL - Robertson Stadium Oct 7, 2008 Houston Dynamo vs. SanFrancisco FC Score was tied when DeRo came in as a sub in the 78th minute. Everyone at the Rob absolutely knew that something magical was about to happen. Minute 88 it did. (4.40 on video)
The second Dynamo goal at Pumas is one of my favorites. Cameron splits two defenders and sends in a cross, Ashe lays it off to Kamara who hits a nasty side volley. And the Kpene Hop celebration to top it off.
1:06 in the video. I think that might have been the most proud I've felt of this team, including the trophies. We were on top of the world for about 10 minutes there......and against arguably the best team CONCACAF has seen in....well, maybe ever.
Looking back now I wish Dynamo had beat Pachuca. I have given my blood (epic falls and bumps in the stands), sweat (every game), and tears to this team. I was born a Pachuca fan but the Dynamo represent the city that made me into who I am.
...in the end it all worked out for everybody. That night was epic. I don't even remember what time we left the parking lot that night. All I remember is that epic group photo. You also became a defensive lineman for me that night in the stands. Hahahahaha.
That was one crazy game. When we went down 4-3 it was a feeling that it was over but when the Dynamo came back and tied it, there was a subtle seismic shift in the dynamics between the MLS and MSL
