For me it had to be The Killers Ambulance Ltd Surferosa Fantastic! Although I am going to see The Pixies and The Music before the end of the year...
Lemme guess: Tobymac, Third Day, and Day of Fire all belong to the "Christian Rock" movement, right? Either that, or Day of Fire was the token Satanic band in order to provide God / Devil balance at some public venue. I've been to so few concerts this year that it's embarrassing. It's what I get for moving to the suburbs. Maybe Pixies / Le Tigre at Hammerstein will be wonderful, but even though I have tickets, the dirty little secret among Pixies fans is that they've never been a great live act. Yeah, they're up there pounding out classic songs, but as far as doing anything interesting during the show... well, they're up there pounding out classic songs.
Alright, a little off topic because it wasn't the "best" I've seen this year, and it wasn't a "concert," but I played on the same bill as this band, Harry and the Potters, and they were a flcking riot. Really nice kids, too. http://www.eskimolabs.com/hp/
what is the matter with you? day of fire isnt satanic. just because it has FIRE in it, you suppose it has to do with praising satan? and why do you put quotations around Christian Rock. CR is way better than any other music...it actually has meaning
Lostprophets at the SECC on saturday. You can't beat the Prophets live. Fake Sound of Progress is one of the best albums ever. Absolultly bloody brilliant those Welsh boys are
1. Re Day of Fire: Please learn to take a joke. 2. If you really think that non-Christian music does not have meaning, I strongly suggest you stick to other forums.
Big Day Out, Gold Coast parklands Jan 04 Muse, main stage. Best BDO performance since Foo Fighters in 2000. If BDO enthusiasts didnt know who these blokes were they certainly did once they left
