This edition of Boca Juniors isn't bad at all. Don't be so sure that they wouldn't make it out of the group stage, though it'd be harder than the Libertadores group stage.

FYI: Boca beat Real in 2000... SPFC beat Barcelona and Milan... and Pele's Santos beat the champion of Europe as well.

This was brought up in another thread. The really good Argentine players move because the economy in Argentina is so bad, they'd be playing for next to nothing. They go to Europe because, quite simply, that's where the money is.

I'm not saying that at all. Of course that's part of the reason they move to Europe, but honestly, would you rather play from where you're born for not very much money or go to Europe where you can make a couple million a season?

Also europe can afford to have the starters and the reserve team and the reserve teams are great in SA the reserves are 15-17yo. Still great players at that age but lacking expierience

True, But the average argentine Footballer are not starving by a long shot. I guess Marcelos Salas is making minumum wage. Logical, everyone would love to play in Europe. Experience a Different culture, Learning new languages, Different women, and on top of that, Make a hell of a lot of Money. Even when our economy was good, players still left. As long as there is a Supply and demand~~~ Demand being a key word, Argentines and Brazilians for that matter will be in Europe recruited by the Biggest clubs.

Why is it always an English fan that states the intercontinental cup is crap. It's not they are in one every year. After decades MANU finally won it. In the hay days, English clubs couldn't even scrub the grass off the SA Team Cleats. Let's hear the Germans, Spanish, Italians fans say it's crap!
