Well, it's a stale and trite format, but this is the first one I've seen this year, so I'm posting it. PLUS he makes some good points. I totally disagree with two of his worst DVDs. First, the Star Wars trilogy was fun. I didn't expect my wife to buy it for me, and I wouldn't have gone out and bought it for myself, but I enjoyed watching this. As for Troy, someone enlighten me as to why everybody hates this movie. It seems for most people that Brad Pitt is a distraction. I haven't seen Pitt's movies, except Ocean's 11. That's my impression of Pitt. I thought he was great as Achilles. Achilles is an all business fighting machine. My first impressions of the movie were, "The wrong people die", "Was this really 10 years?", "What is this with the escaping people?" But as far as representing Achilles, and Bana as Hector, this movie was excellent. In retrospect, compressing time from ten years to two weeks makes a good movie, but it saps the desperate justification of the horse ruse. And there weren't enough gods, but I think the emphasis was the human aspects of the war, something a cynical modern could emphasize with. Troy was good, and Pitt was excellent, and I don't understand this anti-Troy impression out there. But, I somewhat like Gigli...
