He had a good overall game but really should of scored once in the two chances he had, especially the one late on.

    Will post the highlights later.

Btw Cavaleiro got the hand ball assist for the penalty that won Monaco the game 0-1 away to GFC Ajaccio.

GFC Ajaccio 0 AS Monaco 1

    Included in the highlights:

Cavaleiro, the assist for the hand ball penalty and good chance that fell to Cavaleiro in the first half.

Coentrão's first game, he came on as a sub at about 60 minutes. Defensively his left side looked shaky but he provided a cross in which Carrilo should of scored (he missed many opportunities).

Coentrão also should of got another assist when he set up Bernardo who should of scored his first of the season. He also had a chance in the first half not shown here.

Coentrão seems to play well offensively from the LB position except for Real.

Bernardo needs to put these chances away.

    Europa League Game 1

    Anderlecht 1 vs Monaco 1

    http://footyroom.com/anderlecht-1-1-as-monaco-2015-09/

Bernardo with at best an average performance but was involved in the late goal by setting up El Shaarawy (who should be playing more).

Jardim has said Bernardo is suffering from tiredness but I expect Bernardo to start on Sunday against Lorient at home (16:00 PT).

    http://www.record.xl.pt/futebol/int...ento-ao-cansaco-de-bernardo-silva-975763.html

Coentrão playing Left Midfield/Winger was the best player for Monaco with Cavaleiro probably being the worst in squandering some good half chances and losing possession. Carvalho was injured but will be able to play on Sunday. Moutinho had a good game on his first game back after a few weeks out due to injury. Marcos Lopes still to play with Hélder Costa still injured.

Bernardo is tired but he will bounce back. Shame how Benfica sold him for just 15 million. SMH.

Lorient went two up with Guerreiro playing a gem of a pass on a swivel for the second goal though not a assist.

Lemar had a assist and a goal for Monaco.

Lopes started but was replaced by Bernardo after about 30 minutes with Monaco 0-2.

    Did not see the game.

I don't think so but I did not watch the game. I think it was just because Monaco were 0-2 down, Jardim did the same when Pašalić started and they went down a few weeks back.

    Good to know.

I think Cavaleiro is nowhere near good enough to replace Martial for Monaco which is what Jardim has tried.

They also needed to replace Kongdobia and Paselic just cant do that. Moutinho is also injured again which doesn't help.

    IMHO Monacos best lineup is:

    GK
    Fabinho----Raggi------Carvalho------Coentrao
    ----------Paselic------Moutinho--------------------
    Lopes----------------B.Silva-----------------Lemer
    -------------------El Sharawaay------------------------

    when everyone is fit

You may be right as Carrillo is still scoreless in the league but Lopes might not be quite ready so maybe Dirar for the time being. Also Pašalić has missed many what would be assists and recently goal opportunities, he might take off yet.

Monaco again go 2-0 down in the first half with Carvalho, Coentrão and Cavaleiro starting (Moutinho injured) and Lopes not used (don't think he was selected, with Costa also injured).

Bernardo comes on at the start of the second half for the ineffectual Cavaleiro, who at his worst is a 'ball-tripper'.

Coentrã0 with another class performance, and no doubt the MOTM, starts the reviravolta with a goal early on in the second half.

Bernardo than releases Dirar who crosses on the lawn for the Lemar, definitely also a star signing so far.

Coentrã0 then goes down late after the young Montpellier keeper makes a mistake that he then exacerbates, leading to Fabinho once again scoring from the spot, this time a winner,

Two things: Bernardo is a bit like the glue to this side and needs to start when he does not the already shaky defence is worse especially without Moutinho and Toulalan's experience. Carvalho and Raggi are both old and maybe Jardim needs needs to play Wallace for one of them hopefully Raggi.

Another two things: Shaarawy ideally needs to start and Carrillo has to come good or be replaced and used as a sub.

Bernardo basically had one chance and scored unlike after the first league game (where he scored) in which he has had a few and not scored.

Carvalho and Bernardo started and finished. Coentrão, Moutinho and Hélder injured. Lopes and Cavaleiro on the bench and not used.

Dirar probably the MOTM with a assist to Bernardo and a goal.

Monaco had come back from 2-0 to win lose and win, respectively in their last 2 league games. This time they went ahead 3 times and drew 3-3.

Team against Tottenham tomorrow at 18:00 (PT) in the Europa league.

Coentrã0, Moutinho and Toulalan back from injury. Lopes left out and Hélder injured.

I expect big things from this team now.

    GK: Subasic & Nardi
Defenders: Carvalho, Coentrão, Fabinho, Raggi & Wallace
MF: Bakayoko, Dirar, Lemar, Moutinho, Pasalic, Bernardo, Toulalan, A. Traoré
FW: Carrillo, Cavaleiro, El Shaarawy & L. Traoré

Bernardo had an ok game was part of the build up of the late equalising El Shaarway.

    Coentrão had a good game.

    Moutinho was ok

Carvalho and Raggi combination not the best as both are old (Carvalho on the bench today vs Rennes, on now).

Cavaleiro not used sub and Hélder injured.

Monaco draw their first two EL games.

Bernardo was subbed at half time. Coentrão played the whole game and Moutinho came on as sub '71. Carvalho, Lopes and Cavaliero did not play while Hélder is injured.

Bernardo was ok in the first half but I think Jardim either thought he needed a break or more likely a decision to make the game more pacy?

Bernardo had another chance which he fashioned himself but failed to put away like the Albania game. Overall maybe a 6 or 6.5 out of 10. He also had a few passes that were a bit short. I expect almost perfection as he has the talent for it. For him to get a 9 he would of had to score, completed more of his passes and be a bit more threatening.

Another average performance from Bernardo. Cavaleiro also played and was below par. Lopes was a unused substitute and Carvalho, Coentrão and Hélder injured.

BTW Antony Lopes was to blame for the Pašalić goal.

    Europa League Game 3

    AS Monaco 1 Qarabağ 0

Bernardo subbed after '57 and can't complain needs to do better than just pass the ball around except for that pass for El Shaarawy chance. Carvalho started and finished (usual good display) as did Moutinho. Cavaleiro on the bench Lopes not even on the bench. Coentrão and Hélder injured.

Latina Traoré scored but is only slightly better than Éder.

    Missed this match.

Bernardo scores early with a header! later on has a chance to make it 2 but the defender does just enough. In-between he sets up Carrillo once (Moutinho set up the other) who hits the post on both occasions. Much Better!

Carvalho and Moutinho also started and finished. Cavaleiro came on for Dirar (who assisted Bernardo and could of scored himself). Lopes stayed on the bench and Coentrão and Hélder are injured.

    Did not watch game.

Bernardo suspended and Coentrão still injured. Carvalho, Moutinho (who helped unlock the goal from Pašalić) and Lopes started who missed a great chance, although to be fair it was a bit behind him. Hélder Costa came on late as as a sub '89.
