Bernardo and David Silva, two very similar players playing together. That will be interesting to see how they fit.

I could live (I think) with Bernardo at Man City, only worried about playing time and the wealth of competition. After choosing Monaco a move to City instead of Utd or Chelsea makes sense, Guardiola is a very good manager have no trouble with him and he is his sort of player. Basically Bernardo has gone to English Barcelona (which appears imminent).

Bernardo will officially be a City player on July 1. He will be given the 20 shirt and his jersey will read Bernardo.

    Best of luck!

    Man Utd is so behind.

Their fans think Griezmann is going to be their Savior when Zlatan is better.

    Sigh.

Never knew Bernardo's English was this good.

The switch was fast, Sheikh money talks.

Wow his English is better than Mourinho's.

Think he would have had much more time/impact on United. He is going to be David Silva's shadow unless he has a break out year. I see him playing easy CL games, FA Cup and League Cup with a handful of PL starts and sub appearances.

Yes playing time could very well be a issue and WC Russia 2018 next year too i.e. selection issues in both cases.

Amigável, Sábado 2 Junho 2017, Estádio António Coimbra da Mota

    Portugal 4 (Moutinho 3', Moutinho 42', Pizzi 63', André Silva 70')

    Chipre 0

Both Bernardo and Moutinho started and were subbed at HT. Bernardo has a couple of good (ish) moments. Moutinho however had a bis with both being Golações from basically the same spot about 40 minutes apart. In the second half, Pizzi scored and André Gomes got a assist for André Silva's goal which is I think 6 in his first 6 games. Mário who is maybe wishing he did not go to Inter (high debt/finished 7th outside Europe while AC Milan got 6th and the last Euro place) is injured and will not play against Latvia for the WC, which saves FC having to send someone home as he convened one extra player.

    Mundial 2018, Apuramento - Group B Sexta-feria 9 de Junho 2017

    Letónia 0

    Portugal 3 (Ronaldo 41', Ronaldo 63', André Silva 67')

Bernardo stayed on the bench as Santos started with Gomes and Gelson out wide. Latvia started well and Portugal only started to dominate in the second half of the first half. After some good shots from Ronaldo from far, Gomes found Fonte who headed against the post and left Ronaldo with a head in (head in, tap in, get it o_O) just before the break. Quaresma subbed Gelson (his first start not to the standard of his previous subbed in appearances) did what has been consistently doing making the difference, this time his cross got a deflection and Ronaldo was there for his second head in. However something was still missing, a André Silva goal, hassled the defense and got a table in which fell to Carvalho then Ronaldo with a assist to Silva. Silva has come at just the right time as Ronaldo enters his twilight years, if when can get another striker that scores we could become deadly in years to come.

Primeiro Jogo: Taça das Confederações, Domingo 18 de Junho 2017, Kazan Arena, Rússia

    Portugal 2 (Quaresma 34', Cédric 86')

    México 2 (Hernández 42', Moreno 91')

Bernardo stayed on the bench, again. Pepe's goal ruled off side by VAR but later in the day Chile had a similar situation given. And one thing, cricket and rugby have been using video referee replays for years and you can hear what is going on, FIFA comes to the party late and acts like it is revolutionary, pathetic really. Ronaldo who was very much a team player in this game set up Quaresma who finished with style. Guerreiro a few minutes later did a air shot to gift Mexico a equalizer just before the break. André Silva replaced Nani and almost scored from a Gomes cross but a fine save from Ochoa kept him out. Herrera however was feeling generous and let Cédric in then deflected Cédric's shot that was going wide in. Just when you though we would get a win another defense lapse this time from Fonte gave Mexico a injury time draw. All four goals came from mistakes and both teams cannot not be happy with their respective displays. Russia tomorrow.

'Bernardo seized his opportunity against Russia. Positioned on the right of midfield, he quickly set about making challenges and setting up players in central midfield before darting back to the right flank to chase down opponents or launch combination counter-attacks with right-back Cedric Soares. Almost every single Portuguese attack in the first half involved the space Bernardo was operating in...'

The first step is admitting a problem :ROFLMAO:. Obsessed with Bernardo? no, for instance if he had gone to Man Utd or Chelsea I probably would of stopped watching him, even Man City is going to be tough. Though I do think I spend to much time on this board at times. Thanks for the concern ;) :speechless:.
