Prefer he stays at Gijon. Why leave a regulation zone team where you are a star and hero for one where you can fail in a weaker league. Other then money. He has NT looking at him at Gijon. Also the EPL has destroyed our guys stay the fk out of that place

yeah if its not a better team then he should just stay with Gijon honestly. Although if they offer the money Gijon want then he has no choice really. EPL teams make way too much money just for playing in the BPL.

Bernardo confirmó hoy que se va del Sporting a un equipo de la Premier League, que al parecer si va a ser Middlesbrough.

Everton wanted him too. The other EPL team is coached by a Spanish coach. Maybe he knows him but to go from 1 regulation zone team to another + having to adapt to the EPL. Should have stayed at his current club but pretty sure the EPL will double his wages easily

Hope the speed in EPL doesn't haunt him. If he can leverage his size well, could be a fit.

plenty of tall lanky defenders in the EPL as well. Boro will have expectations for him but no one will be expecting a top 10 finish.

both goals sort of his fault :(

They tried to double mark Ibra and both times he left the scorer wide open.

Yea he played very well but they double marked Ibra that left the scoring player open. Not sure if he is the one who was suppose to be marking the scorer but that's what it looked like.

    Sadly didn't start today.

Hasn't been too great though. He's the middle man in a triple CB set. He has the ability in the air for it, but he doesn't close down space very well on counters.

    Big win today. Forgotten Colombian.

Is he just too slow for Pekerman taste? Don’t get why he never gets called. He played in the EPl as well

he's gotten called up a few times but as pep says he has some horrid luck. Gets injured everytime he gets called up. I've lost hope of seeing him play

Well, he almost scored a header as the match was ending. Ter Stegen saved it on the line.

Total starter for his team in 7th place. 1 point from Villarreal and Moijca not a starter and Marlo’s Moreno who wasn’t even a reserve are NT possibilities.....

    Who did Bernardo piss off?

Other then Sanchez he had the most minutes out of any of our CBs. He is also starting on a weak team against some of the best in the world.

Rather see Jeison get called in before this guy quite honestly.

And I don't really see any of the other recently called up CBs being dropped for him.

Zapata played like 4 games this season. Bernardo on a team at the same level as Villarreal played at least 4x more game then Jesion.

Seems odd to not call him
